Life's reality,
In one fell swoop
Marches in,
Like a hurricane,Relentless,
Painful,Merciless.
You, a mere victim
Of your past mistakes.
All the while,
I stare, as you chip away.
Away at our family
Through my looking glass.
I step away,
With a hesitant,Yet, occasional,
Look back.
I grow a day older,
But you? None the wiser.
My family, defenseless takes a hit,
And I'm not there to witness,
You eat away,
And will continue to do so.
Until life strikes you down,
And fate comes to tax you,
Fuck you, and everything you stand on.
You Penniless fiend.

PoetryThe purpose of this poetry book is one of defiance. Not to others, or anything in particular. It is against the war we wage internally, against ourselves every day. There is no bigger challenge in life than facing your thoughts, your true emotions...
