The people gathered around managed to get Rocky out off the car. They also found his phone which was all scratched now. They rushed him to the hospital and also informed this to the police. The police came there in no time and a man handed Rocky's phone to the police. He managed to open it and checked his recent calls. He found a number saved as wifey and decided to call her.
Meanwhile Reena was still standing there her eyes casted down staring at her phone which started ringing now.
She took the phone with shivering hands and found that Rocky was calling her. She quickly attended it after releasing a deep breath.
'Hello Rocky. You are okay right'???? Reena asked her voice breaking.
'Mam I am not your husband. I called to inform you that your husband had got into an accident and he is now admitted in the city hospital. Please come fast mam'.
The policeman said. Reena felt her knees give up and she fell on the floor.
'Sir'. She called tears brimming her eyes. 'Is he okay'???
'Mam I will say all that. You please come fast as they have to start the procedure soon'.
'Okay'. Reena said nodding her head. She quickly took her handbag and ran outside. She took a taxi and on the way called Shakthi and asked him to come to the city hospital. She reached the hospital and spotted a police officer. She quickly went towards him.
'Sir'. She called him. Her eyes were continuously shedding tears.
'Mam are you the relative of Mr.Rocky'???
Reena nodded.
'Come with me mam'. He said and took her to the ICU. There she met the head officer.
'You are his wife right'.
Although she got confused yet she nodded her head positively.
'This is his phone. We found your number from this'. The police officer said handing her his phone.
'Dont worry mam. Your husband will be alright'. He said as he found her looking through the glass door. She couldn't see him as the door was covered with curtains yet she managed to get a glimpse of him. She let out a sob as she found his body covered with blood.
'Mam please sit down'. He said and handed over the papers which required her signature to start the operation. He then went towards the people for inquiry. Shakthi came there and found his friend who was sitting there all numb.
'What happened Ree'??? Shakthi asked. She looked at him for a moment and hugged him tightly while crying her heart out.
'Rocky....... Rocky got into an accident Shakthi. He is in the ICU now'. Reena said in between her sobs. Shakthi was shocked but he found his friend who was a crying mess now. He patted her back while whispering soothing words to her.
'Shhh Reena...... He is going to be okay. Please don't cry Ree'. He said trying hard to calm her down.
Once she was okay he broke the hug.
'Dont we need to inform this to his parents'???
'I don't have the courage to break this to them'. She said and a drop of tear escaped from her eyes.
'Okay you give your phone. I will inform them'. He said taking the phone from her. After he left Reena closed her eyes praying for her Rocky.
Shakthi informed about the incident to Shekhar and he got frozen.
'Is my son okay'??? Shekhar asked panicking.
'Yes sir'. Shakthi said as he didn't want to tense him more.
'I am coming now itself'. He said and cut the call. Shekhar then informed this to his wife and they soon left to the hospital.
Meanwhile,
Reena lost track of time as she sat there praying but suddenly heard the glass door opening and quickly opened her eyes. She saw the doctor coming out after the operation and went towards him.
'Sir how is he now'??? Reena asked nervously.
'Are you his relative'???
Reena nodded quickly not wasting any time.
'Come with me'. The doctor said and took her to his cabin.
'See mam I know it's gonna be a lot to take in. Since his spinal cord was severely injured he is paralyzed now'.
Reena looked at him completely shocked. Shock will be an understatement. The doctor noticed this and felt pity.
'Dont lose hope mam. He can definitely recover. But it will take some time'.
'He can recover soon right doctor'. Reena asked hopefully.
'I can't say about that correctly. Maybe he can recover in months or maybe it will take years. But let's hope he will be recovered soon'. Reena casted her eyes down nodding at the doctor.
'Can I meet him now'???
'You can meet him after some time. The patient is in a deep slumber due to the medication'. The doctor said and found her crying silently.
'Hey. Don't lose hope. Things will definitely get better'. The doctor said patting her shoulders. She nodded at her and then took her leave.
Reena reached before the ICU to find Shanthi standing there anxiously with tears in her eyes and Shekhar talking with the police.
'Beti'. Shanthi said and that was it. She ran into her arms and cried her heart out.
'Beti what happened'. She asked caressing her head while Reena was a crying mess by now.
'Tell me na'. She asked breaking the hug and cupping her face. By now Shekhar also came towards them.
'Ma'. Her voice cracking. She then narrated everything to them and shanthi just collapsed onto the chair.
'Mera beta'. She said crying.
Reena who saw that felt she needed to be strong now.
'Ma please don't cry. You know he is going to be alright. He will soon be the Rocky we know. Please don't cry ma. Stay strong. We have to be strong for him'. She said taking Shanthi in her arms and patting her head.
Shanthi who noticed Shekhar standing there got up.
'Shekhar what are they saying. I know my son. He is very cautious when it come to driving. He won't drive recklessly'.
'Yes Shanthi and it was not his mistake. A truck came in the wrong direction and hit him. But the people said it looked more like pre planned. Anyway the police started their investigation and I won't leave the person who dared to hurt my son'.
'But why would anyone hurt my son??? He haven't hurt anyone intentionally'. Shanthi said in between the sobs.
'Shanthi we will find it out. But please stop crying. I am sure our son will be back fit and fine soon'. Shekhar said rubbing her back and calming her down. The nurse came out and saw the family.
'The patient has opened his eyes. Any one can meet him now'. She said and went inside.
'You go beta'. Shanthi said patting her shoulders. 'I know you are yearning to see him for long. Go and see him beta. We'll see him next'. Reena nodded with tears in her eyes and quickly went inside.
Reena let out a loud sob as she saw his state. She went towards him and caressed his forehead. Her touch made him open his eyes and he smiled at her lightly. Reena ran her fingers lightly on his bruises. A teardrop escaped from her eye running through her cheek and finally fell on his head.
'I can't wipe your tears sona'. Rocky said smiling while Reena held his hand in a tight grip.
'Leave me Reena. You should not waste your life anymore on me. I think we are not meant to be together'. Rocky said his eyes shedding a drop.
'Just shut up Rocky. I am not gonna leave you okay. And weren't you the one who said that we should fight for our love. Now what happened'????
'I don't want you to suffer Reena. Please hear me. Leave me and start a new life for yourself. I want you to have a better life'.
'Rocky why are you saying like this??? See whatever happens I am not leaving your side. And we will together face this problem okay'. Reena said.
'But...' Rocky was about to oppose but Reena silenced him.
'No buts. I am never leaving your side'.
She caressed his head and placed a deep kiss on his forehead.
'Sleep now'. She said patting his head and Rocky slowly drifted into sleep.

'He is alive'. The informer said through the phone.
'Damn it'. Adheera muttered under his breath.
'But there is also a good news. He is completely paralyzed now'.
'Well that sounds better now. He should pay for his mistakes and this one is perfect'.
'But Reena she is not ready to leave his side now'.
'You don't have to worry about that. I know how to make her forget him'.
'And for Rocky he is temporarily paralyzed. So we have to be careful as once he is back there will be no escape for us'.
'Infact I want him to be back to his self then only the game will get more interesting'.
'Adheera don't take him silly. You know you are going to play with Reena. His most precious thing. So you have to be careful'. Shakthi said looking around cautiously.
'Well I am not playing with her. Instead I am going to make her my wife. And I am letting her to spend some more days with him as once I make her mine I won't even allow his shadow to fall before her'.
'Whatever. I have to go back. I will call you later'. He said and cut the call. He turned back only to get shocked as he found Reena standing before him.
