In the midst of darkness,
I saw a glimpse of light.
For the first time,
I felt alive.
In my lowest time,
You were there my dear.
Guiding me through the trouble,
Putting away all my fear.
However, that feeling did not last.
As everything is temporary,
In my own free will,
I became an outcast.
Imprisoning myself,
In this cage I made.
Circling in this pattern,
I wish this would fade.
As time went by,
I became mature.
Standing on my own,
I got used to endure.
Sometimes I feel like a missing piece.
But living like this,
Knowing I'm the truest with myself,
Makes me at peace.
I do miss the light you gave me once.
The light that blinded me,
When I took that glance.
Though I think now,
It was meant to be,
For us to separate,
So we can be free.
