It's me the Rocky Road again >:)

Idk if the title fits the chapter but eh... I'm currently writing this at fokin' 4AM on a Wednesday morning. I'm (not) ok. :D
Anywho, here we go..

                                                                                        

You sat down with him, trying to make small talk. It worked for the most part, he was an exceptionally good liar. He kept up the act as a newly spawned sinner and you believed him! He was thrilled at how stubborn you could be.

The fact remained that he couldn't quite put his finger on who exactly you were or where he recognised you from. He would eventually figure out, one way or another, he wanted to know why you seemed so familiar and so nostalgic to him.

"So how much do you know about hell?" You asked curiously as you sat next to him on the main couch of your living room.

"Uhh.. pretty much nothing at all, ain't that obvious?" He replied, "Do you have any valuable information I should know about hell, or do you just burn in here?" He asked with a skeptical tone that got your attention.

"No, you don't just burn in here... Well- it's hot, cuz it's hell but the only time we die is by extermination and fights between ourselves. Though higher ranks have a low chance of dying-" You began to ramble but he interrupted you.

"Higher ranks?" He tilted his head and raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, there's different ranks starting with imps, hellhounds, sinners, overlords-" you were cut off by Adam

"Over-loads? What's that like uh- dick thing?" He said and you stared at him and blinked,

"Huh? No, OverLORDs.. they're the most active in hell and they're creative with their power, owning the souls of others for eternity." The room dimmed a bit as your voice turned sinister...

"Creepy much.." Adam mumbled and the lights went back up and you continued.

"Anyway then there's the Ars Goetia, the 7 sins and the king of hell.." you continued not noticing Adam's turn to disgust at the mention of Lucifer.

...." But before that!" ..... "So then"..... "Ok, but"....

    "Vox" ...."yeah so-"...  "then Alastor"... "Therefore"...... "The 3V"

"Carmilla and Zestial are definitely together."
               ...... "And then she said!"
 
He doesn't know for how long you've talked. But it was definitely too long for him to cope, he wanted you to shut up so bad but then again, you were healing him. He was getting so bored and he had no clue who the fuck you were yapping about. He knew Alastor, the so called all powerful radio demon who he defeated. But who the fuck was vox, Carmilla and Zestial and who knows what other names you were listing?!

.... "one thing you always need to remember..."

"Don't. Make. Deals."

That got Adam's attention back, 'creepy much' he thought again
"So what happens if you do make a deal?"

"The person who you made the deal with owns your soul, and trust me, I haven't heard nice things about it." You said with a sinister tone.

"So who are you in all these ranks? An overlord, a sinner, are you even important?" Adam asked carelessly; as if he'd give a shit.

You obviously had to come up with something now. Not many knew who you actually were, and it wasn't your proudest status. You don't always want to reveal you're a fallen angel to any rando you're healing so you have to come up with something believable. "I'm a sinner who is good friends with powerful overlords, so I have a high rank. I've made myself known as a healer amongst demons because I heal demons at risk after any extermination."

'You prick' Adam scowled internally. He couldn't believe that such low lifers benefited off of healers! Unacceptable. Disgusting even. You saw his expression stiffen slightly thinking he didn't believe you, you tried to emphasise.

"The Vees are my friends- by the way."

"Who?" Adam looked at you confused, now disturbed from his train of thought

"The vees? 3V, most powerful overlord group in hell, were you not listening to me?"

"Huh? No I was- I was just.... Uh- I needed clarification. Yes. That." He tried to save himself but you realised the type of person he was.

You sighed. "The point is, you are under my wing...".

'what wing?' Adam tried not to laugh at his own 'terrible' joke.

"-and I'm allies with a group of powerful people. So you're safe." You explained but Adam wasn't into much of this.

"Yuh huh..." he would nod "yeah"

Suddenly Adam moved in his seat and visibly cringed and stiffened at the sudden pain that coursed through his body from the stab wound in his abdomen, causing him to groan and cling onto himself as you reacted immediately.

You checked the time and it has been pretty long since you've looked at his wounds so it was obvious something might have caused a reaction. You began to unwrap his bandages and took a clean cloth and pressed it firmly but gently to the wound.

"Oi! Do you mind!? Tell a man what you're gonna do, I'm in pain here" He exclaimed.

"And I'm tryna heal ya, so if you want it to work properly you better stay quiet so it doesn't trigger your body to bleed out more than necessary. Unless you want to die, and I don't think you do" you said sternly which made him go quiet and endure the pain in silence, even though he felt like screaming in pain he wouldn't let a 'sinner' like you see him in such a state.

You made sure the wound was cleaned and you wrapped him up in a new set of bandages. You then managed to sneak into Vox's wardrobe upstairs since he was working and managed to steal some clean and comfortable clothes for Adam to be in, his robe was damaged and he immediately let it go, he also didn't want to risk you examining it and find our who he was. He wore black loose leggings under his robe and they surprisingly were not too damaged so he kept those on and you helped him with the shirt.

"Thank you... I guess.." He muttered to you when he thought you were distracted.

You weren't distracted and heard it, but you didn't reply knowing he didn't know you heard him and just smiled to yourself...

He was warming up to you, even if he didn't show it directly.
