Armaan quickly cuts Abhira's call before Sanjay could take a glance.
*Goenka house*
Abhira: Di look! Your friend has deliberately cut my call in his break time.
Ruhi was sitting at the dressing table and blow drying her hair, when Abhira barged into their room.
Ruhi: *smiling* Oh! When you've to make complaints about him, he becomes my friend. And not when you both spend hours, talking with each other late at night.
Abhira: We just talk about my studies related stuff di. We talk at late hours, because his family law firm is overworking him.
Ruhi: *smirks* Oh really?! Who will even discuss class lessons that late at night? *Clears throat* What's going on behind my back?
Abhira: *seriously* An ugly cockroach is leisurely walking behind you Di!
Ruhi was horrified and she quickly got up to locate that cockroach. And as soon as she realised Abhira's prank, Ruhi playfully threw her lipstick at Abhira.
Abhira: *laughing* Di! Why are throwing your favourite lipstick away, don't you want to look good for your date??
Ruhi: It's not a date Abhira. As Rohit has returned to Udaipur I've asked him out for coffee to give my proper and sincere apology.
Abhira: *raising eyebrows* Oh really?

Manoj sighed. Though his research on Vikash Mehra was fruitful, all the evidences are against Vikash Mehra. As that man's impulsive nature is as bright as a day. So Manoj fixed his mind on to look for some other problematic client to prove his worth since he was sure that Kaveri would have definitely assigned this on to her favourite, that is Sanjay.
Manoj then got up to return the files when he spotted something on the official documents. Manoj was shocked to find that this case was assigned to Armaan. Is overworking his poor nephew was not enough for Kaveri and Sanjay, now they are heading up to make Armaan fight for an inhuman cause. Manoj for a fact knew that Armaan would never be willing to go against his morals, so he decided to clarify things with Armaan in person and also prepared himself to bash his own mother and brother in law if needed.
Manoj finds Armaan and Sanjay a few meters away from the waiting room.
Manoj: Armaan! Jijasa! Hold on!
Armaan: What's the matter, Chachu?
Sanjay: *irritated* We've important things to do Manoj!
Manoj quickly covers the distance between them.
Manoj: *annoyed* Important matters like forcing Armaan to go against his will?
Sanjay huffed at that and Armaan smiled at his chachu.
Armaan: I've rejected this client chachu.
Manoj felt proud of Armaan.
Sanjay: *smirks* And Armaan is just about to take responsibility for his decisions.
Manoj: I don't think that as a good idea Jijasa! Here look at the background check.*shows a file* This man is pretty unstable at this point. The client is not going to take the rejection well.
Sanjay: *arrogantly* So what does Manoj Poddar suggest we do?
Sanjay then proceeds to mock Manoj and an argument breaks between Manoj and Sanjay. Armaan intrupted them.
Armaan: Chachu! I understand your concern, but we need to follow the protocol and inform the client in person.
Manoj: Why should you face the brunt of other's promises? That man is unstable.
Sanjay: We're Advocates, don't tell me that now you're scared Manoj.
Manoj: Vikash Mehra is highly unstable now. What if he's armed and hurts Armaan for rejecting to fight his case?
Sanjay: All three of us are working under Maasa, don't you forget that. Rejecting a client itself is a huge backlash for our firm. Now you want to make our client undergo security check to humiliate them further.
The verbal spat between Sanjay and Manoj continued. Owing to his exhaustion from overworking, Armaan felt a wave of fatigue hit him. Armaan wanted to get over with this new mess.
In the blink of an eye, Armaan rushed towards the waiting room. A worried Manoj and an enthusiastic Sanjay followed behind closely. Armaan's eyes met the eyes of Vikash Mehra and true to Manoj's words, their gonna be ex-client looked very volatile and aggressive.
Vikash Mehra was able to hear few things from the commotion outside.
He gritted his teeth.
Vikash: Who's Armaan Poddar here?
Armaan: I am.
Vikash: *tilts head to one side* You were assigned with my case, and you're going to reject me?
Armaan: I'm sorry Mr. Vikash Mehra, I can't fight for you.
Vikash: *smirking* Why would you? Huh! You are in the same age group of that moron!
Vikash angrily swipes down the objects placed on the coffee table. Manoj silently scrolls his phone to the security's contact.
Armaan: Mr. Vikash Mehra, you need to leave.
Sanjay: *sarcastically* We're truly sorry for losing a high potential client like you Mr. Mehra, but only if Armaan decided not to back off.
This statement of Sanjay triggered that mad man and within fraction of seconds he retrieved his gun and shot Armaan straight at his chest.
Sanjay froze as he saw a shocked Armaan gasped in pain and fell backwards. Manoj screamed Armaan's name the loudest he can in his own shock. The security reached the waiting room as the gun shot sound was loud enough to send all the employees to panic and they managed to successfully take Vikash Mehra into their custody.
Sanjay was still frozen in his place as he saw a panicked Manoj cradling Armaan and applying pressure on his chest to arrest the bleeding.
