Manoj has downright pushed Sanjay away from the vehicle, they've used to take Armaan to the hospital and he informed Madhav on the way. So Sanjay was on his way to the hospital in his own car, consumed by guilt. Sanjay's vision was haunted by a baby Armaan tightly holding on to Madhav's shirt, when Madhav first brought Armaan to the Poddar house. For God's sake, he has watched Armaan grow up. Sanjay sighed. If Armaan dies today, it is his fault and no-one else's. When he provoked that mad man, Sanjay was gearing up for a verbal lash but not this! Never this! Sanjay envied and even hated Armaan way too much for his talent and fame. But never in his wildest dreams, Sanjay wanted to become the cause of Armaan's death. So Sanjay found himself praying for Armaan's wellbeing. His ears echoed with Armaan's painful gasps. Sanjay sped his car to reach the hospital fast.
As soon as he reached the hospital, Sanjay rushed towards the Emergency ward where Armaan is been treated only to be met with a frantic Manoj pacing and a heartbroken Madhav sitting on the hospital chair with his head down.
Sanjay: How's Armaan?
Sanjay's question broke the tensed atmosphere and a furious Madhav jolted up and punched Sanjay in rage. "I really deserved that", Sanjay thought to himself.
Just then Kaveri and other family members reached the hospital only to witness Madhav landing a solid punch on Sanjay and Manoj trying to hold Madhav back.
Kaveri: Madhav! How dare you raise hands on Jamaisa!
Madhav furiously grabs Sanjay's collar and threw him straight towards Kaveri. Leaving everyone shocked. As Madhav was still in his police uniform, he took his gun from its holder.
Madhav: *furiously* If he stays one more moment in front of me I'll shoot him so that he can also experience what my son is going through now.
But Manoj snatched his gun away.
Manoj: *equally furious* Get lost before I decide to give my brother his gun back!
Kaveri was so stunned to utter any word. All the family members were gaping at the brothers like fish out of water. Sanjay took one last look at the hospital room Armaan's getting treated and left from there.
By god's grace, Armaan survived but him getting shot was the last straw because the loose string holding the Poddars finally broke.

In Armaan's recovery period, Madhav calmed down enough not to point his gun again at Sanjay. But nothing was never the same for the Poddars. Madhav and Manoj did not leave the Poddar house with their family and it's only because of the love and respect they had for their late father. Though kaveri never supported Madhav's career choices, their late father even in his death bed gave Madhav his blessings and was happy that Manoj has choosen law. Both Madhav and Manoj gave intense cold shoulder to their mother and Sanjay.
Something also changed within Armaan. As Armaan was sure that he was going to die that day, and his survival made him realise how short life can be. So he started to prioritise himself. Sanjay did give Armaan his heartfelt apology, only for Armaan to blankly stare at him and Madhav wanted to punch Sanjay again but was stopped by Armaan.
Armaan: Even you were not aware that Mr. Vikash Mehra will shoot me. Am I right Fufasa?
Sanjay: *deep breath* No! I never expected such a thing!
Armaan: Our profession deals with all sorts of criminals Fufasa, so be careful and stay safe.
Armaan neither acknowledged nor accepted Sanjay's apology. Deep down Armaan knew that Sanjay's in guilt. But Armaan could not bring himself to ease Sanjay's guilt. Is he being Selfish? But Armaan does not care.
Both Abhira and Ruhi were worried sick for Armaan, but they could not physically visit him because of their own circumstances. The good thing is that Armaan and Abhira's late night calls started to get cozy and Armaan would be lying to himself if he said that he was not looking forward to these phone calls with Abhira.
Some time rolled by, Armaan recovered fully and rejoined work. Kaveri did not try to test the waters for sometime and Sanjay truly held himself back from disturbing Armaan in any form. That lasted till it was Rohit's time to join their law firm.
Armaan was successful even after a short break in his career. And Kaveri wanted the best for her favourite grandson, Rohit.
Kaveri planned for Rohit to have his career break through from his very first case. So she pressured Armaan to assist his little brother.
Armaan: Dadisa, I've not known my late grandfather who established this law firm. But I continued here only because of the respect Papa has for his own father. But if I can't have my own opinion, then why should I be here. It is Rohit's case, let him handle his own career. Please don't ask me to do things for him.
Dadisa: Armaan you should be present there to support your brother.
"You can call me Selfish, but I want to make my own choices", Armaan though to himself.
Armaan: I resign.
Kaveri was shocked as losing a successful advocate like Armaan will definitely lead to their downfall and bring many problems if Armaan starts to practice law independently against their law firm.
