The next morning, I decided to go to work on top of my game. I looked in my closet and pulled out a grey pencil skirt, a black blouse, and black pumps. I put my hair in a bun and I was ready for the world. I arrived 20 minutes later at me office with yet again all eyes were on me.
"What's the problem? I believe that all of you have work to do...stop starring at me and get on it. What the hell am I payng you for!" I snap.
Their heads dropped down immediately. I walked into my office and began working. A few minutes later, I heard Christina's heavy footsteps from beyond my door.
"Hello, Mrs.Phillips. Would you like me to get you anything?"
"No, I will be just fine. Thank you, Christina."
She gave me a smile and walked out. I turned back to my computer and began taking call after call. Gladly, their were no interuptions, no mystery man at my door, and the air was finally at a normal temperature for once. After, I was done with my last client for the hour. Christina walked in.
"Mrs.Phillips, Mr.grey is waiting outside. He said he has to talk to you."
Her cheeks turned pink once his named rolled off her tongue. He was the last person I wanted to talk to right now, today, or ever.
"Tell him I'm busy." I said as I turned back to my computer.
"Ok." She scurried out of the room, closing the door softly. It wasn't even seconds later, when she returned back to say, "He said its important that he talks to you now."
He is such a pain in my...
I sigh before saying, "Fine, send him in."
She nodded and left the room. I returned back to my computer and stopped a few moments later once I heared footsteps coming from beyond my door. I shut my eyes and opened them; clearing my head.
He walked in with his eyes hot on me; feirce. His grey eyes matched his suit that looked delightful on him. He gracefully sat down in front of me, seaching my eyes.
"What is so important that you're depriving me from my work, Mr.Grey." I say politely with a hint of rudeness.
His eyebrow raised like I've insulted his mother.
"Is there a reason you didn't answer your phone? I needed to talk to you." I sat up in my chair as I crossed my leg over the other. I faced him completely, staring into his eyes as he stared into mine.
"I was busy. I'm sure it wasn't that important." He narrowed his eyes at me and his eye slightely began to twitch.
"You wouldn't know because you didn't answer, now would you?" He's testing me and I could see it written all over his face. He cleared his throat before saying, "Are you still mad about yesterday?"
"No, Mr.Grey. I'm perfectly fine." I smirked. He ran his fingers through his hair and let go a big sigh.
"Aaliyah, I'm sorry about the other. It was late...I had to get home."
"It was so late that you had to leave without saying a word. Christian, that was a weak move you pulled, honey. What was so important? I'd love to hear! Wait, let me answer that for you. You're one of those guys that love, stratch that, adore to mess with other woman's emotions. You lead them on like you did and you leave them hurt and confused?" My voice began to raise. His eyes got hot with anger and I knew I went to far.
"Aaliyah, there's a lot about me that you know nothing about." He snaps. He closes his eyes, leaving the room death silent. After a moment, he opens them again; his eyes now softer and relaxed. "I should of left you with more to hang on to and I take full blame for that and I'm sorry. The last thing you have to worry about is me being that kind of guy. You can trust me on that."
The atmosphere was more mellow and I noticed his body beginning to relax.
"Like I told you before, any man would be lucky to have you. And that's why I'm here...to be that lucky guy." He smiled that sexy smile that I love. "How about I make it up to you?" I raised my eyebrow with curiosity. "Go to diner with me friday?"
With all my restraints and as much as wanted to be mad at him; I could help but say yes.
"Sounds like a plan, is it ok that I picked you up at 7:30pm?"
"Sure, I'll be waiting."
I got up to walk him to the door and he followed behind.
I reached for the door knob, but he grabbed me by my waist and then my arm; so my body was turned towards him. I released my hand from the door knob and slid it up to his neck. I felt a sort of pull between the air from our lips; slowly our lips met easing that pull. He wrapped his hands around my waist, swiftly bringing me off the floor. He walked us over to my desk, causing me to knock down some of the stuff that was on it. I felt his tongue enter my mouth and I willingly let it; the taste of pineapples filled my mouth. I laughed and he smiled. He pulled back, but before stepping back he planted a soft kiss on my lips.
He released his hands from my waist. He knew what he was doing and I hated him for it. It was the sweetest thing I've ever taster, like pineapples and whip cream.
He helped me off my desk and walked me to the door with his arm around my waist. Once he removed his arm from my wasit, my legs felt weak. He ran his fingers through his hair with a smile and extended his hand to open the door. It's cute whenever he runs his fingers through his hair it falls right back into place.
He turned back at me before he walked out.
"Until friday, Ms.Phillips." He said softly.
"Until friday." I said almost in a whisper.
He then walked out as his professional self as if nothing happened.
