I know exactly where this is going and with both of them here it won't turn out well. Their stares are burning a whole in me form the inside out. I have to say something before I get buried alive.

I walk up towards Violet to get my laptop, but she stepped back and shook her head.

"Ok," I run my fingers through my hair and sigh. "I was bored and logged onto my computer. It wasn't my fault for searching it, it was already up on my screen when I saw it."

Colette looks down at her feet.

"Guilty."  She raises her hand.Violet and I turn to look at her.

"I was trying to see if Aaliyah had any competition, but all I saw were pictures of his sister."  She walks over to the bed and gives us the puppy dog face.

"Wait, hold up, what I still don't get is, why did Aaliyah continue to scroll throught the link?"

Eyes were on me once again.

"When Christian came into my office and we got into a little altercation...he said there were a lot of things I didn't know about him. So I wanted to know if there was someone else other than me."

Violet then walks over to sit down next to Colette. She looks up at me, then looks over at Colette.

"Colette, can you excuse Aaliyah and I for a minute?"

Colette looks at the both of us confused, then gets up realizing it was serious. She walks out and before she did, she squeezed my hand and closed the door softly.

"Aaliyah, I know you're still traumatized about the whole Ethan thing." Tears started to pool in her eyes. "But you have to trust Christian, you can't go on worrying that someone will hurt you. We got you."

Ethan is my ex-boyfriend. The last time I saw him, I was filling a restraining order against him. He use to hit me, as if I were his little toy. I wasn't the one to take any crap from anyone, so I fought back. Our relationship ended which put both of us in the hospital.

The only person I ever told was Violet; she was all I had, after my parents died in a car. I was an only child, so Violet's parents let me live with them and raised me as thier own. I could never bring myself to tell Colette, I knew she wouldn't be able to handle it. The last thing I want is someone else worring about me.

"Violet, I'm fine. I just do-"

"Aaliyah, your lying through your damn teeth. I know you like the back of my hand, you're going to have to trust him and us. No one will hurt you again, as long as we're here."

She reaches her hand to sit on top of mine.

"I'm just afraid one of you are going to get hurt because of me." I start to sob.

Tears fell from my eyes, as I thought about my parents. I hated thinking about them, somehow I just feel like it was my fault they died. I just wish I had any other chance to say good-bye. I just wish I knew who did it.

Violet leans forward, wrapping her arms around me, and immediately we both start crying. I'm always so thankful to have her in my life, she's like a shield that keeps protecting me from harm.

Before I walked out I washed my face so their was no trace of me crying. I make my way downstairs, heading towards the kitchen, and almost have a panick attack at the sight of Colette cooking.

Wow colette cooking! That's a first.

"Hey missy, don't burn down my house!" I tease.

"Ha ha ha, whatever. I pulled out the cooking book, so I know what I'm doing!" she smiles.

"Omg! That smells great. What is it?" Violet questions with a look of hunger in her eyes.
