Chapter 18: The Test

*Jingle*

"Now your goal by 12 is to get these bells from me then you pass, but if you can't you go back to the academy, but if you pass we will be Team 7. Am I clear."

"Yes sir/Yes ma'am!"

"Ok-wait a God damn minute who called me ma'am."-All points to Sakura-"Ok pinkie your on."-He glares at her-"Now star-!" He gets cut off as an orange blur comes towards him.

Third Person POV ~

Naruto suddenly gets stopped. He hears Ruby, Sakura, and Sasuke gasp, he suddenly feels someone behind him.

"Good, you came at me with the intent to kill...but I never said start." Naruto suddenly feels his arm free. 'I didn't even realize my arm was behind me!' Naruto thinks while sweating lightly.

"Now..."-Sakura, Naruto, and Sasuke take a leaping position-"...START!" Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura leap into the woods, Ruby going towards the entrance of the training field. Naruto instead of staying in place ran out of the woods and tried to attack Kakashi.

Kakashi sidesteps him. "Hmm..so the first skill is Taijustu. The skill of martial arts." Kakashi says as he holds his leg and dodges a fist. Kakashi pushes Naruto away and starts to reach into his pack to grab a weapon, or so Naruto thinks.

"Hey! Why are you bringing out a weapon!" Naruto yells but he stops when he sees Kakashi not actually bringing out a weapon but a book with a couple on the cover.

"Well, are you going to attack?" Kakashi says while reading the book. Naruto grows a giant question mark. "No, I'm not attacking you! You're not even fighting, you're reading!"

"So?" Kakashi says as he glances up at Naruto. " 'So?' So it's not fair!" Naruto says as he crosses his arms.

"You know you're acting like I offended you. You're not acting like a boy that wants to be a ninja." Kakashi says as he turns the page. What he says irks Naruto, so Naruto grabs a kunai and bolts towards Kakashi.

Meanwhile with Sasuke~

'That dumbass!' Sasuke thinks as Naruto gets launched into the pond that was next to the training grounds, by an epic ass poke. Sasuke also hears a faint laugh below him.

Meanwhile with Sakura~

Sakura stops laughing as over 20 Narutos comes out of the water. 'Holy biscuits! He...just punched himself.' Sakura thinks as the clones disappear to reveal Naruto alone in the field. Sakura faces palms as she sees Naruto get stuck in a trap. 'That buffoon.'

'Yeah like you!'

'Shut it! Your almost no better!'

'Haha, she has my back!'

'Whatever...'

Sakura gets kicked out of her thoughts as she smells wood burning. 'Huh, where is that smell coming from?' She looks around but stops as she looks down to her right. 'Oh...Sasuke is using his fire move...and it's still small.' Sakura catches something in the corner of her eye. 'Wha-!?' Sakura stops that thought as she fully turns her head and sees a pink thing or someone go deeper into the woods.

"What or who is that?" Sakura whispers to herself as she leaps down towards it. Sakura runs into a clearing where she stops and sees someone with pink hair playing with fire. 'They look familiar...wait...Onii-chan!?'

Sakura rubbed her eyes to make sure he was still there, she looked back up to see the boy still playing in the middle of the clearing. The boy suddenly looks up, right into her eyes. Sakura gasps as she takes a step forward towards him. "O-onii-chan?" Sakura says with scared eyes. The boy gives her a big smile.

"Sakura-chan!" The boy stands up and starts to walk closer to her, Sakura takes a step back. 'Wait...he doesn't look like his age he would be now!? He looks like he's 9-10...the time he..died..no he..he..what happened again?... Wait! Genjustu!' Sakura uses the Kai sign. Suddenly Nastu disappears and Sakuras alone in the clearing, with a glare, she looks up at the sky. 'What happened to him? And why can't I remember!?' Suddenly Sakura feels a rage she never has felt before so she raises her right fist and FSHH! A roaring fire comes out of her fist, right in/on to a bush. "Uhh? W-what? H-huh?"

'It was never that strong...what did my flame make me do!?' Sakura faintly hears the ringing of the timer so she slowly starts to put her fist down and start to run back to the group.

When she gets there she sees Naruto tied to the wooden post and Sasuke not meeting anyone's eyes. And finally a disappointed looking Kakashi with Ruby near his shoulder looking confused. "Am I la-" "No Sakura your not but sit down." Sakura takes a seat next to Naruto. "Now you little gremlins...pass..."-They (Even Sasuke) all smile others bigger than one-"..the I get to stay in the academy for another year test."-they all look like there about to yell at him but he silenced them with a finger raised-"You guys need another couple years to understand this test...but Sakura,"-Sakura looks up-"Sasuke,"-Sasuke looks up as well-"You guys get lunch because you guys didn't try to take the food."-He looks at Naruto who smiles sheepishly at him-"..now eat I will be back later, and DONT feed Naruto."

Kakashi poofs away after giving them their food. Sakura and Sasuke eat in awkward silence while Naruto complains about not needing food and stuff. "THATS IT!" Sakura stands up and hovers food in front of his mouth. "Eat." Naruto blushes as he opens his mouth but another pair of chopsticks goes into his mouth, Sasuke glares at Naruto. "Huh, Chicken-ass I was just about to do that!"

"Hn....just feed Ruby." Sasuke and Naruto glare at each other while Sakura shrugs and brings a bite to Ruby. The weather suddenly becomes cloudy and lightning flashes.

"Huh-!?" Kakashi cuts off Naruto as he poofs in front of them with a glare. "YOU ALL...PASS!" He finishes with an eye smile and the weather clearing up.

"WHAT!!" All of them shout confused.

"You pass because-" "But we, none of us got a bell!?" Kakashi's eyes twitch. "If you would Shut up you would let me tell you why."-Sakura shuts up-"You passed cause you used teamwork, teamwork you will need in this career...but you all should be proud of yourselves, you, we are all part of team 7. The next combat team. So we are now a family and we don't give up on each other...got it."-they all nod-"Good...now celebratory dinner at the Uchihas!"

"But wait...how did we use teamwork? All we did was feed Naruto?" Sakura asks stopping all them from moving forward more. Sasuke and Naruto turn there heads, also wanting to know.

"Because even if I was telling you to not do something, you did it for a team mate. Your going to have to not listen to some rules in this career, so I wanted to see if you would make the right decision. And you guys did." He gives them an eye smile. "Now to the Uchihas."

For the rest of the night they all smirk, smile, and laugh.
