Prompt 5 for Rare Pair Week "Birth/Death". Today's prompt features the Sailor Moon Cosmos Movie. THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THE SAILOR MOON COSMOS MOVIE. You have been warned. For those that watched the movie and asked why don't we see the Starlights again after their crystals were taken? Here is my take on what happened after they died.

Sailor Cosmos watches the Sailor Quartet disappear. They have returned back to the correct time in the Thirtieth Century. Sailor Chibi Moon will be there to greet them upon their arrival. A small smile crosses her lips as she recalls the fond memories she has of those times, when everything was so peaceful before Chaos returned and ruined everything.

She turns around to face the cauldron, staring up at the golden energy being released from deep within. How many crystals are within the Galaxy Cauldron waiting to be reborn?

Her eyes widen when she sees the four Sailor Crystals from Kinmoku. With a gesture of her hands she summons the four crystals to her. She lets out a sigh of relief that their crystals will also be reborn.

She stares at the red crystal. Sailor Kakyuu, the Princess of Kinmoku. She wishes they could have spoken more but they had to go to the Galaxy Cauldron to stop Sailor Galaxia and Chaos. She can only imagine the trials the Princess had faced in her kingdom and what lies ahead of her when she begins the reconstruction processes. Sailor Cosmos closes her eyes tightly. To this day, she can still see the Princess' death clearly in her mind's eye, the moment she was impaled from behind.

The light green crystal next to the Princess's crystal flashes. Sailor Star Healer. She'll never forget the afternoon she was writing a letter to Mamoru on the roof and Yaten snatched the letter to being reading it. Yaten had a way to irritate everyone with her remarks. But there is a gentler side to Yaten as well.

She can picture being in the Three Lights apartments with Princess Kakyuu and Chibi Chibi sitting on her lap. Yaten explained how everything starts as a starseed, even planets. Some of the starseeds later become Sailor Crystals. It was at that moment, Usagi began to realize how large the galaxy is and the universes beyond. Hundreds of planets with life and countless Sailor Senshi she had yet to encounter even to this day.

Her eyes shift to the iris color crystal. Sailor Star Maker. She never thought Ami would meet her match in school and become number two on an exam. She can vaguely remember Taiki picking her up after she was attacked by Sailor Galaxia in Amishiro Park. When she was fully conscious again she woke up in her room. That was when she knew she had to go the Sagittarius Zero Star.

The silver haired senshi exhales as her eyes falls on the final crystal, sky blue in color. Sailor Star Fighter. Seiya. Was it chance she was at the airport that day with Yaten and Taiki when Sailor Galaxia took Mamoru's crystal in front of her? Seiya did everything in her power to make Usagi remember what happened, no matter how hurtful those memories were.

As Sailor Moon, she couldn't barricade herself from the truth. Because she could not accept what happened to Mamoru, the other senshi were easily targeted. Her thoughts drift to the day after school she stood on the rooftop of the school talking about the stars. A slight blush creeps across the senshi's face. Seiya was not just talking about the stars at that moment. Her voice when she sang Nagareboshi He was beautiful.

Her cheeks redden further when she recalls the brief kiss Seiya gave her in the Three Lights apartment. Seiya was the last person to kiss her that wasn't Mamoru. She was flustered by Seiya's action.

As Fighter, Seiya wanted Sailor Moon to know that she was not alone in this battle against Galaxia. The Starlights, Princess Kakyuu, and Chibi Chibi would work together. She remembers when Fighter held out her hand offering to protect her as Sailor Moon even though she has not her Princess. Fighter believed all Princesses should be protected.

Sailor Cosmos looks at the starseeds a final time. Sadness tugs at her heart knowing when these crystals leave the cauldron she will never see them again. She wishes to thank them all face to face for giving her the strength to carry on after she lost everyone else. She knows their planet will be beautiful once they rebuild it. They'll be happy, she's sure of it. If only she had more time to get to know them better. They will forever remaining shooting stars piecing through the night sky in her eyes.

With a gesture, the crystals start to return to the golden rays of light from the cauldron. She holds onto the sky blue crystal for a moment longer. "Thank you Seiya-kun..." she murmurs before sending her starseed on her way back to Kinmoku.

Sailor Cosmos looks up at the wall of light one last time in awe of the hundreds of crystals returning to where they belong. She looks down and closes her eyes turning into a bright burst of rainbow colors before she fades away, returning to where she belongs. The only thing left behind is a trail of pure white feathers.

There you have it, a quick scene with the Starlights and what happened to their Sailor Crystals. This bugged so much about the movie. We see everyone else return, including the cats and Usagi's family that was not seen in the manga but no Starlights. Why?? They were a huge part of the series. Have you seen all the merchandise they got? And they can't even have any sort of a goodbye? End of rant.

Tomorrow will be another SeiUsa story for Rare Pair week sent in Chaos Theory... but it's going to be a sad one. See you tomorrow!
