Our Last Night

Prompt 7 for Rare Pair Week "Free". Today's prompt features an extra scene with Haruka and Michiru which takes places in "Act 60: Together we'll fight to the end" of Chaos Theory. This scene takes place later in the evening after Mamoru spoke with Michiru and Haruka at their hotel room.

Michiru is in the bathroom finishing her make up in front of the mirror while Haruka sits nearby on a couch in their suite. Mamoru left at most thirty minutes ago after they informed him what they could about the other timeline. They still didn't know everything.

"Do you think we told him the right thing to wait until tomorrow?" Haruka muses out loud. "The sooner they talk and straighten this out, the better."

"You saw how exhausted Usagi was, she needs rest." Michiru reminds her partner. She pauses a moment as she applies mascara to her lashes before she continues. "I'm sure after some rest she will be more agreeable."

"I hope so..." Haruka uncrosses her legs. "Setsuna-san had said the main reason that timeline didn't work was because she wanted to see ... that Starlight."

"Then it's a good thing they are not in the same country right and Mamoru-san is," Michiru immediately counters, trying to reassure Haruka there is nothing to worry about.

Haruka nods her head. "How are we going to help Kitten with this? She has to see the light and remember her destiny is with her Prince," Haruka pauses, still not used to his new title. "Her King." She corrects herself to give Endymion the proper respect.

Michiru adds eye shadow onto her eyelid. "We know that Mamoru-san will talk to her tomorrow. I don't see how Usagi will be able to deny him again." She smiles at the thought. "I'm sure he will find the right words when they speak." Michiru grabs her powder compact next. "This is our last night in Boston. I would rather talk about this tomorrow when we have clearer heads." Michiru smiles at another thought. "Perhaps we won't have to even have this conversation after Mamoru-san speaks with Usagi." She applies her lipstick and glances at her reflection in the mirror making sure everything is perfect before leaving.

The teal haired woman walks out of the bathroom to find Haruka now sitting on the bed with her eyes closed in deep thought.

Haruka's mind is spinning, thinking of a way to make Usagi come to her senses. This can't keep going on. Usagi is still a young girl so she's going to be indecisive; she doesn't understand the mistake she is making. Her feelings for Mamoru can't vanish that quickly.

Michiru clears her throat loudly, snapping Haruka out of her thoughts.

Haruka inhales sharply at the sight of her girlfriend in a knee length black dress with a v shaped neckline.

Michiru can't help but smile when she witnesses Haruka's reaction. The one she was hoping for her. She turns around, picking up her hair. "Can you help me with the rest? I can't move the zipper all the way up."

Haruka's cheeks flush at this simple quest. It is a humble one Michiru often makes. She stands up, adjusting her black suit jacket as she does so. Her fingers quickly grab the zipper clasp and to pull it the rest of the way up. She fumbles with her words. "yeah... we can later... talk..."

Once the rest of the dress is zippered, Michiru turns around to face the stuttering blonde. She raises up her hands to adjust the black bowtie around Haruka's white collared shirt. She leans in and kisses Haruka on the cheek. She giggles as she uses her hand to wipe off some of the lipstick she left. "We should be going to dinner."

Haruka can barely nod her head in agreement as she continues to be tongue tied by Michiru's appearance. "Yeah..." She finally manages.

Michiru relishes the moment, flustering her partner even further. "And then after dinner we can..."

Haruka clears her throat.

Michiru smiles widely, enjoying the speechless Haruka.

Haruka and Michiru's suggestion to wait to a day to talk to Usagi might not have been the best advice for Mamoru since Usagi went and saw Seiya that night.
