(Flash back)

Riku's mum and dad left Riku to her grandparents to go to their flight for important business Riku was only 5. Her grandparents was downstairs watching the news and Riku was tucked up in bed dreaming away. The news was interrupted by a breaking news about the plane crashing down on a farmland, both of them was wishing it wasn't their son's flight. The grandmother started to cry when their picture popped up on the screen, and her husband snuggled her on the sofa and cried with her. Little Riku walked downstairs wiping her eyes "why are you crying granny?" She got up from her seat and walked over to Riku, she grabbed Riku's hand and said "mummy and daddy wont be home for a while sweety" Riku was confused "why?" She asked, her grandma started to cry "they gone to heaven" Riku's face dropped while walking upto bed poor little Riku cried herself to sleep.

She couldn't sleep and woke up from a dream, the lightening made her jump "mummy I'm scared" she cried but know one came to her. The lightening flashed again and Riku saw something in the corner of her room "m-muummy" she cried louder and the storm roared. The lightening struck again the figure went and Riku sat up she saw a bluey purple butterfly on her bed then a white dead looking hand picked the butterfly up, it was her mother smiling at Riku she gave her the butterfly and kissed Riku on her head "I will protect you honey" she faded away and Riku fell asleep...

13 years later

Riku lived on her own in a rented flat she had a part time job and couldn't get into college she was struggling to get in. A letter came through her door the next morning and she finally got a form from college and that she was in. She jumped around cheering and screaming and stopped, she saw another letter it was addressed to her she opened it and read it, her cyan eyes widened and a huge smile appeared on her face "I OWN A COTTAGE!?" She shouted and did a happy dance "best day ever" she said and feel backwards on the sofa still smiling.
