Butterfly Girl

Chapter 3

The truck picked her furniture and other belongings and went off, they left a small box behind and Riku picked it up and opened it. It was full of photos of her patents and when she was a child. Another photo was strange but made Riku smile, it was only a photo of her parents when they were 20, she noticed a cottage was behind them and butterflies in the windows. Her eyes widened in shock she soon realised it's the same cottage shes going to right now. She has been dreaming of her mum but never her dad it's a bit odd.

She arrived at the cottage and it was covered of so much life and new cocoons on the tree branches. She saw the old and used cocoons on the ground rotting away and the place needs a good cleaning up. She thanked the guys to bring her stuff inside and paid them, she had a good look around before she started to unpack or organised her furniture in places, there were still furniture inside but its old and rotting away. She pushed well struggling to push all her stuff in one corner and started to move the old furniture out of the house, she cleaned the shelfs and the dust out of the way, she opened the curtains in the bedrooms and she started to cough as dust floated to her from the curtains.

She walked in the bathroom and everything was rusty and had black dirty water in the toilet, sink and tub. She pulled her sleeves up and dipped her hand in the tub water, she couldn't find a plug but she felt something else like hair, she was panicking and as she put her hand out of the water another hand gripped her wrist and pulled it deep in the tub, Riku started to scream for help and struggling to get her hand out of the water , "Riiiikuuuu" a echoed whispered from inside the tub. Riku started to cry out "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" she shouted in fear, the grip loosened and Riku quickly got her hand out and fell to the ground hugging her hand "you" it whispered from behind her, Riku quickly looked and it was her mother she smiled at Riku and she smiled back "mum?" She asked, her mother's face turned grey, her eyes feel out and it was total darkness, he skin turned to ashes and falling out, some of her hair fell out and turned black and her mother held out her hand reaching for Riku, her fingers was long and sharp trying to touch Riku. Riku stood there glaring at her mother transformed into something unexplainable, she dropped a tear and her mother stopped walking and started to scream in monstrous sound ever heard, Riku watched her and she was shaking head to toe, she heard snapping sounds and her mother fell to the ground still screaming like shes in pain. Something black appeared on her back and it was spreading, something soft looking popped out and grew fast out of her back. Riku fell back and crawled to the wall she saw huge black and grey butterfly wings grow out of her mother.

But was it really her mother?,

Riku's eyes was still wide and tears still poored out, her mother stood up in a dead butterfly figure, her mother's mouth stretched open and shut, black liquid started to drip from her black eyes "im sorry baby girl" she whispered. Riku was speechless and was very terrorfied of her, her mother's skin was floating away as her ashed body feel off in bits and went out of the window. Riku stood up and ran to the open window, she quickly looked out and nothing was there it was strange seeing that. She looked back to the bathroom and all the black water vanished and Riku ran out and didn't looked back to the bathroom.
