The Fiery Legacy (Robby x OC)

Chapter 13

Robby ran around desperately, he nearly missed when he saw her sitting against a tree. Carefully and quietly he sat next to her, she jumped as he brushed her leg by accident. 

"What do you-Oh Robby" she snapped before realising who it was , quickly she rubbed her face but Robby could tell that she had been crying. 

"Do you want me to leave?" he asked her gingerly. Sera shook her head no. She leant against his shoulder, then she hesitated remembering what she'd seen him do in his fight with Kenny.

His anxious eyes watched as she sat up and shuffled away from him slightly. "Hey Sera is something wrong?" 

"It's-It's-" she sighed "What was that in there?" Sera gestured to the building "In there you're different. You wanted to win so bad that you put Kenny's safety at risk for some sick pleasure"

"Sera its a karate tournament, I was just winning" Robby defended himself, he didn't seem to understand why she was so upset. 

"No that wasn't just winning" she stood up and began yelling at him "You were toying with him"

He realised what was wrong and he tried to explain himself. "No I-" 

"Don't lie-Just don't, Robby." Seraphina pleaded. Robby scoffed "So you can throw off your competition by screwing with Sam but I can't try and win against Kenny"

"That's different and you know it is!" Seraphina yelled. "No!" Robby retorted "What's different is I won my quarter final match and you didn't. You're just jealous"

"Jealous?" she scoffed "I-" she couldn't even get the words out. Robby saw her angry expression but what really hurt most was the insecure eyes and the tears escaping them.

"Sera I'm sorry, I just lost the championship and I'm not in the right headspace right now. I'm sorry-" Robby attempted to apologise.

"I don't care" she tied her hair up quickly and took a fighting stance. "Sera, what are you doing?" he asked. "You insult me and my honour, when an enemy humiliates you, you take that anger and use it against them" Seraphina explained waiting for him to also take a defensive position. 

Robby shook his head "No Sera, I'm sorry for what I said okay. But I'm not going to fight you"

Sera lunged forwards and struck him in the chest and across the face. She went to hit him again but this time he blocked pushing her away. Sera spun round and lunged for him again. 

He sidestepped each of her punches and kicks just like he had done with Kenny. This just made her even angrier "Fight me dam you!" she screamed tears running down her face. 

Robby wrapped his arms around her torso pining her arms in place and he pushed her up against the tree. "Sera" he looked her in the eyes "Stop" 

She stopped writhing and trying to escape, Robby loosened his grip and she sunk down wrapping herself into a ball, she was sobbing at this point. "I'm sorry."

Robby pityingly sat down next to her "I shouldn't have said that, It's just I lost the match against Hawk and I needed you but you weren't there" he explained. 

Sera looked at him worriedly "I'm sorry you lost. You're a much better fighter than anyone here" she assured him. She went to stroke his cheek but he winced. 

Robby tried to hide his wince by letting out a soft chuckle "You've got a really hard right hook" he joked. Sera's eyes widened "Did I?" she sobbed again hugging him "I'm sorry"

The two sat like that for a moment, leant against the tree taking comfort in each others company and the silence around them. Sighing Sera said "I think we better head in soon"

Sera made to get up but Robby's grip on her hips made her fall back down "Do we have to?"

"Yes we have to Robby. Tory's got her fight against Sam and we have to support our team" Sera reminded him. Looking into Robby's pleading eyes she gave up "Fine we'll stay here for another 10 minutes or so"

When the pair eventually walked back into the All Valley Tournament they saw Tory's arm be lifted as the Ref announced "Winner!"

"Hey. You all right?" Tory asked Sam, Sam stormed away clearly annoyed about loosing. Tory had a first place championship trophy shoved into her awaiting arms. 

"What a match! Give it up for your first female champion, Tory Nichols!" Everyone cheered especially Robby and Seraphina. Sera felt bad that they weren't thee to see her victory but the huge smile on Tory's face as she gazed at the trophy told her she wouldn't mind. 

"And the winner of the Grand Champion trophy and still the baddest dojo in the Valley, Cobra Kai!" Some referees presented Kreese and Silver with a large Grand Champion Trophy Silver took a microphone and smiled.

"Thank you. Thank you. We couldn't be prouder of our hard-won victory. And we're just as proud to announce we'll soon be opening Cobra Kai franchises throughout the entire Valley, so every one of you young men and women here can be part of our championship dojo and learn Cobra Kai's Way of the Fist! - Thank you!" 

All the Cobra Kai students lifted Tory onto their shoulders and carried her to the changing rooms yelling "Cobra Kai, Cobra Kai! Cobra Kai, Cobra Kai, Cobra Kai, Cobra Kai, Cobra Kai!" as they basked in the glory of a victory.
