That night Silver invited one of the Sensei's to his and Seraphina's new home. Sera was in her new bedroom organising all her clothes and furniture.

The two men were sat at a table for dinner "I promise that'll be the best whiskey you ever have." Silver assured. Chozen hesitantly sipped the glass after watching Silver take a drink of his own "You are correct." he smiled "A taste of home."

"Filleted hamo.-" Silver explained before asking "How long have you been in the Valley?" Chozen answered fairly quick "One year. I was planning to retire when I saw your advertisement."

"Why do you want the job?" Silver asked Chozen curiously.

Chozen smiled "You assume I want the job. I am not yet sure." This caused Silver to raise an eyebrow "The other applicants would kill to work for me." he reminded Chozen.

Chozen then smirked "But you said there were issues with your former partner."

Silver frowned "We've had our bumps in the road, sure. Dealt with some disloyalty. But we're back on track now." Chozen nodded pleased with the answer "Your success does not surprise me. Your students are well-trained. Especially your champion."

"Well, our students are our legacy." Silver said. Curiously Chozen questioned Silver "And whose legacy do you carry?"

"My master was Kim Sun-Yung. Among others. And you?" he asked before guessing "Your father?" Chozen shook his head "I was raised by my uncle. My father died when I was young."

"Hmm. What killed him?" Silver inquired staring at Chozen.

Chozen scoffed "Cowardice." he sighed "I struggled with my own cowardice. I lost a fight. A fight I should have won. Rivalries die slow deaths, especially in Japan.

"I can relate." Silver agreed gritting his teeth "I have a rival in this dojo business, in fact. This guy, LaRusso. But it's never too late to get the last laugh, right?"

"Mmm." Chozen mused. Silver smiled at Chozen "Grab your drink. I wanna show you something."

Silver lead Chozen through the new house to the basement where there was a beautiful display of swords "Check this out. Some of the finest swords in the world. I figured you'd appreciate them."

Chozen's eyes widened at the history laid bare before him "Very much." he agreed.

A particular sword caught his interest, Silver seemed to notice as he picked it up "This one? This was wielded by Uesugi Kenshin himself at the fourth Battle of Kawanakajima. It's called Meiyo aru kyodai. "Honoured brother." That's what the auction house told me. Might all be bullshit, right?" Silver laughed "But, hey, there are few things more valuable than a great story. Don't you think?"

"A story is only words. Belief in story much more valuable." Chozen explained. Silver sighed and held back a chuckle "You're still not sold on Cobra Kai then?"

"I am not here because you want me to teach karate. You aspire to something far greater." Chozen guessed, Silvers face fell "What is your true ambition?" Chozen asked.

"I lost my family many years ago the only piece I have left is my granddaughter Seraphina. My only true legacy is Cobra Kai. We're already the number one dojo in the Valley, but I'm thinking a lot bigger than just the Valley." he smiled "The lessons we teach are the tools that kids all over the world need to become stronger, better. I have a plan that will make Cobra Kai and karate as synonymous as Starbucks and coffee."

Chozen leaned in insistingly "And what is this plan?"

Silver cleared his throat "That's something I might feel comfortable confiding in my right-hand man. If you're willing to take the job."

"Yosh. A toast, then. To righting the wrongs of the past and coming back on top." Chozen lifted his glass with a smile toasting "Karii!"

A shimmer of surprise shone of Silver's face as he repeated "Karii."
