Midoryia Izuku was a normal energetic teenage boy, he loved exploring the world and learning new things. His favorite place to go to was the beach, night, day, summer, winter, any day, any time.

And that's where he was right now, at the beach. The sound of families and friends laughing together filled his ears, the sand that touched his skin was soft to the touch, and the salty smell of the ocean water filled his nostrils.

He breathed in and breathed out. The beach was relaxing, giving him time to calm down and enjoy the sun.

He stayed at the beach until midnight when no one was there. He walked over to the shore and sunk his feet into the cool, clear water.

As he was about to step further into the water, he heard a small splash. He turned his head and looked towards the direction where the sound came from, nothing nor no one was there.

Maybe it was just the waves? He thought, shrugging his shoulders and not paying any mind to it. Until he heard it again.

He looked again, expecting nothing to be there. Except something was there this time!

Is someone still here? He thought, usually he's the only one here at midnight, everyone else goes home after 6.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" He called out, stepping out of the water and walking closer to the big rock he heard the splash hit.

Nothing but a small gasp was heard, and Izuku raised a brow.

He walked closer but froze when he saw what was behind the rock, well more like who was behind the rock.

A beautiful ash-blonde boy with pale skin and ruby-red eyes stared at him from his hiding spot behind the rock, he was waist down in the water so he couldn't see what the rest of him looked like.

Another distinguishing feature about the man in front of him was his long eyelashes and finned ears. Now Izuku met a lot of interesting-looking people, but never had he seen someone with ears like his!

"H-hello, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Izuku stuttered, a pink hue tinting his freckled cheeks.

"You didn't scare me, nerd!" The blondie shouted, an embarrassed blush painting his cheeks.

Izuku's eyes sparkled in awe at the man before him, not only was he gorgeous, but he had a sassy attitude. Totally Izuku's type!!

"Nerd? I-I'm not a nerd!" He pouted.

"Really? You look like one." The latter smirked, putting his hands on his hips that were underwater.

Izuku looked at him with an amused smile.

"I'm Midoryia Izuku, you are?" Izuku said, walking closer to the blondie.

"Hmph, Bakugou Katsuki," Katsuki replied, looking Izuku up and down as if he were checking him out.

Izuku blushed at the thought but shook his head to rid of it. He just met this man for goodness sake!

"I never seen someone else out here at this time, other than me. Are you new in town?"

"Uh, yeah, me and my Parents moved in a couple of days ago." Katsuki lied, his voice cracking.

"Really? The beach is a nice place to wind down if that's why you're here?" Izuku grinned.

"Uh yeah, moving away from our old place was stressful so...ya' know."

Izuku nodded, noticing the tremble in Katsuki's hands.

"Are you cold? the water is pretty cold at night." Izuku asked, gesturing to the blonde's shaking hands.

"Oh uh, no I'm fine!" He yelped, moving his arms to hide his hands in the water.

Izuku frowned and looked into the water, he squinted and then his eyes widened. The water was pretty clear so he didn't know how he didn't notice the orange...fish tail? That faded into black, it had thin fins on the sides and shiny scales covering the tail.

"You..." Izuku trailed off, looking back up at the man...well, fish man.

He sighed, his shoulders slumped.

"Stupid Deku, now I gotta erase your memory," Katsuki grumbled, disliking the thought as he liked talking to the greenette, not that he would admit that.

"W-wait no! I- won't tell anyone, I promise!" Izuku frantically waved his hands, pleading with Katsuki to not wipe his memories.

"...how can I trust you? Hah?" Katsuki scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Uhm... we can pinky promise?" Izuku suggested with an awkward smile. Katsuki raised a brow, confusion written on his face. Izuku chuckled.

"It's when we interlock pinkies and promise on something, and I pinky promise to not tell anyone about you being...half fish," Izuku explained, holding out his pinky finger.

Katsuki looked skeptical but eventually interlocked his pinky with Izuku's.

"Well, shitty nerd. Do not tell a single soul about this, understand?" Katsuki glared, his piercing red eyes shining in the moonlight.

Izuku gulped and nodded.

"I promise! And you won't erase my memories...?" Izuku asked, wearily.

"Hmph, fine. I promise." Katsuki mumbled, blushing slightly at the childish expression Izuku held. Izuku smiled widely and tugged on their interlocked pinkies before letting go, stuffing his hand into his pocket.

Katsuki's pearl necklace glowed and he groaned.

"I have to go home now, ...see you tomorrow?" The blonde asked shyly, looking away. Izuku grinned and nodded, feeling giddy about being friends, or something more, with the blonde.

"Yeah! I should probably get home now too. Bye, Kacchan!" Izuku waved.

"Kacchan?"

"Well, you called me Deku, so I gave you a nickname as well! Kacchan." Izuku blushed, rubbing the back of his neck.

Katsuki chuckled but huffed to cover it up.

"Okay then, Deku, see you later." He said, turning around and splashing water at Izuku before swimming away.

Izuku yelped and laughed, wiping the water from his eyes. His clothes were now soaked and so was his hair, but he wasn't angry.

He couldn't wait to see Katsuki again.
