Flashback to how Venti got into the school:
Our favourite ravenette was just going to the market for some apples, since his 'brother' had swung the dumbells too hard that it destroyed the apple tree.
And even if Venti can easily fix the tree, he's not in his prime yet and he's still a 15 year old.
And he's still surprised on how a 12 year old could do that, nonetheless, he was walking around the market, occasionally singing songs to earn some extra coins.
But one of the audience asked for a specific story...
"Very well, one last story and I'll be gone!"
Exclaimed the bard while holding his dear lyre, with a his hat full of coins and some other goods.
"Hey, um... Could you please tell us a story?"
A little shy boy from the crowd with his older brother near him.
"Ofcourse little kid! What story do you want to know about?"
"A-about Barbatos, you know? The God of Freedom and possibly dea-"i
Before the boy could finish his sentence, his older brother covered his mouth.
"I'm sorry for my brother, it's okay if you don't want to-"
"No, no, it would be a pleasure, I do know some stories of him myself."
The bard continued.

There once was a God that had beauty of no match,
But behind those pretty eyes lies dark fires that can be burn anything in a second.
The Archon war wasn't the end,

Finished the bard with the finishing touch of his lyre, the crowd claps and praises him, most of them giving him coins, food, and other goods on his hat.
"May I ask your name, little kid?"
The ravenette asked the curious kid that requested for the story.
"I-Im Finn! Finn Ames. And this is my big brother! Rayne Ames."
"Pleasure to meet the famous bard."
"Oh please, the pleasures mine."
The older brother just smiled and if you squeezed your eyes hard enough, you could notice a tint of blush on his face, and that's exactly what Finn did.
His cold cool brother was blushing. Someone wake Finn up.
And they ended up talking alongside each other, Finn had to go home but Venti didn't know that Rayne was actually going to the entrance of the school.
By the time they reached and we're about to bid farewell, he was stuck in the crowd of students that were practically pushing him and Rayne at this point.
Venti was looking so confused when they were at the field, he had already somehow changed to the uniform and just observing his surroundings when out of nowhere, or the wind, Claude Lucci, as what the winds tell him.
Taking this little time of the blonde praising himself, he took out a piece of paper, summoning words in it explaining everything and making the wind carey it to his 'father' to let him know that he wasn't gonna get kidnapped.
(I don't watch mashle so I'm not doing that long ahh speech and cuz Mash is not here yet, so the drama won't happen. Thank you)
The stone chairs coming out of the ground was impressive, but not impressive enough to impress Venti.
They all take a seat with Venti sitting besides Rayne.
As they were all handed a paper with moving texts, Rayne just said a simple spell (idk what it is) and Venti was already giving Claude his paper back.
Claude then looked at the paper and was amazed that not only did this little boy finish first in less than 10 seconds, he answered all the questions correctly and his handwriting was magnifique. ('Magnificent' in French)
He looked at the boy who was exiting the ground, going to Archons knows where, but his gaze was quickly broken as Rayne had also finished it.
Also magnifique.
A breeze of wind came by and with the breeze of wind, Venti came back to get Rayne and explore with him.
The older didn't have any complaints and just let himself be dragged.

After a while of exploring and getting lost, the wind told the way and they arrived back on the field with a maze in the middle.
They somehow got separated.
As Venti was just wandering around, already knowing the way but walking slowly to pass some time.
While walking to the exit, he met a boy with different colours eyes.
"Hello! I like your eye colour! How did you do that? You seem really cool! What's your name? Mine's Venti!"
As the said bard littearly bombarded him with questions, the blue headed boy passed out because he thought that the ravenette was a girl.
"H-h-h-hel-lo..."
He deadpanned himself for stuttering in front of a 'girl', a cute one to be exact.
"Wanna get out of this maze togethe-"
Before the ravenette could finish his sentence, the said boy had already disappeared.
"Well, kinda rude... AnyWAYs-"
The ravenette just got out of the maze with the guide of the wind.

- Did you know? After Abyss found out that Venti was actually a boy, he was even more embarrassmed than before.
-But, they later got everything right, and this, both of them built some kind of friendship.
-Venti also met the Magia Lupus in the future, they favour him alot more than any student.
_________________________________________ Yea, so this is just part one of the backstory, the next chapter will be in the present.
Since this is the past, Mash is still 13 in this, and Venti is 15, remember that this took place 2 years ago, now both Venti and Rayne are now third years.
