Summary:
Chaos lies in darkness as her world turns bleak and grey with every passing moment, caged with guilt that never lets her go, and shackled by emotions that anchor her to her lowest. She endures every waking hour of her immortality as she prays that someday, the light that gave her existence meaning may return to her once more.
How long can one possibly cling to the concept of Hope before despair swallows them whole?

The afternoon sun glistened just above the watery horizon as the sky—now a vibrant mix of blue and red—illuminates the Earth with warm gold rays with the clouds above inheriting a purple shade. The warm summer breeze makes the grass and trees dance to its rhythm, gently swaying along. The rustling of plant life is like a ribbon on a present, tying everything together.
It's been exactly one week since IRyS announced to us that she'd be departing back to Paradise. As the leader, I showed off by keeping a strong face and accepting the fact that she'd be leaving us. While the rest of the group wept and begged her to stay upon hearing the news, I instead puffed my chest and presented confidence. I've become a beacon of morale for the Council, a statue of strength in our lowest times, a weapon that pushes on even through the darkest of moments
You've only been with us for over a thousand years but it feels like you've been here since the age of creation. It's a bit hard to believe that every single one of our memories together; our adventures, our banters, our laughter, and everything else can be traced back to only a dozen or so centuries ago. It's been the most lively years of my immortal life honestly.
But, why now?
My eyes gleamed at the orange sunlight, the last sunset I'll be experiencing with her. I raise my hands to my chest, grasping the air as I stare into the golden grass.
Just when I thought this thing could last. "Good things don't last forever" bullshit, why shouldn't they last forever? I had so many things planned and so many things to look forward to, and just like that it's extinguished like a burnt out lamp.
Why couldn't you stay here longer? Why do you have to leave us?
Why do you have to leave me?
"Hey, Bae!" The familiar voice of a certain colleague calls out my name. I look behind me and it's the ever so optimistic Speaker of Space, Sana. "Everyone's about to say their goodbyes now, I'm sure you wouldn't want to miss this final moment with her."
A-already? But we just got here, right?
The astrogirl tilts her head slightly to the side with a face expressing a confused and concerned look, "You good, Bae?" She says as she takes a few steps forward.
My body jumps, neurons firing trying to quickly form a sentence in my distressed state, "O-oh nahhh~, I'm all good, see?" I point to myself with my thumb, "Just uhhh, cherishing the umm... t-the view!" I flashed here with a wide grin.
Sana hums, clearly suspicious of me. I maintain this bluffing grin as the silence engulfs us both in an awkward stop. She shortly shrugs it off to my relief, "It is a nice view but I think you should be sharing this with IRyS, don'tcha think?"
"Oh o-of course! I was just caught in the moment, hehe." I scratch the back of my head, "Now let's go, before it's too late." I skipped by her, briefly glancing at her warm smile on her face. She shortly trails behind me as I lead the march towards the cliffside.
