"In the pouring rain, the only thing I ask of you.. is to let me kiss you hard."
"That's the problem, you like your lads insane."
________________Phantomhive Manor, seven years later.
While watching over her youngest godchild, [Name] trailed behind the sickly boy with her hands clasped in front of her upper abdomen. He didn't mind, of course. He found her company peaceful. Tranquil.
Opening the door to the hallway, the boy was met with the face of the Phantomhive dog, a black borzoi named Sebastian. For some... odd reason, Sebastian would only ever bark at the sickly twin.
It's as if the dog could differentiate the twins. It unsettled [Name], yet glad that she wasn't the only one able to tell the difference. Upon making eye contact, Sebastian barked, scaring the poor boy.
The boy quickly hid behind [Name], his small hands clutching tightly on the dark fabric of her dress. [Name] could only smile, reaching down and petting the dog. "Now Sebastian, you mustn't be too loud. You scared poor [———]." Said [Name], smiling at the dog as she took her hand off his fur. Sebastian whined, tapping his paws on the carpet floor.
[Name] pushed open the door, walking forward and giving the sickly boy a chance to get out of the room without Sebastian in his way. Sebastian followed the boy, and [Name] followed the dog, watching the boy grab a chair and walk towards a window.
"Bark! Bark!"
"I'm not going outside! I'm just going to look!"
"Bark!"
Another problem... was that Sebastian would constantly peck the boy with his nose. "Ow! That hurts! Stop that!" The boy whined to the dog, keeping the chair in his hands as he set it down in front of a window, pushing it against the wall. [Name] watched with an endearing smile, waving off Sebastian a bit backwards as to not cause the boy's imbalance since he climbed onto the chair.
Sebastian sat a foot away from the chair that the boy stood on, both the dog and [Name] watching the boy open the window and push it upwards, leaning on the window sill as he peered out.
[Name] glanced at what the boy was watching, seeing Rachel and Angelina, with Ciel and Elizabeth—or Lizzie, Ciel's betrothed. She watched as Ciel and Lizzie played with Angelina, Rachel merely watching while she was sat on a chair with a parasol offering her shade.
[Name] took a glance at the sickly boy who watched with a solemn expression, watching his hand curl up into a fist, coughing into it. Her smile faltered, reaching forward and rubbing his back, gaining a bright smile from the boy.
Sebastian let out a huff through his nose, turning his head and trotting off down the hallway, gaining the attention of the boy.
"Sebastian?" The boy called out, watching the dog walk off before his brother's voice in the terrace gained his attention.
"Oh look! It's father!" Ciel pointed out. [Name] turned around in sync with the boy she was with to look back out the window, watching Vincent come into view with his arms open, walking towards the small group.
"Do you want to go down and greet your father, my little sidus*?" [Name] asked, tucking a hair strand behind the boy's ear and looking at his expression as he watched Vincent hoist up Ciel in the air, both faces with bright and loving smiles.
