"Warmer than May, her tender sighs.."
"Tsk.. You're a fool."
________________"Pardon..?" [Name] murmured, her eyes flickering between the priest and the funeral director. Her eyes blinked slowly as she did a double-take.
"Oh.." Her brows raised lightly as a small smile grew on her lips. "Yes, that wasn't quite obvious at all.." She murmured under her breath, her tone full of sarcasm as she made her way to the graves.
Her hands remained in her muff as she read the names on the newly-installed graves surrounded with snow, her smile faltering.
She took a shaky sigh, bowing her head while she stood in front of Rachel's headstone, closing her eyes as she put her hands together inside her muff for a prayer.
Undertaker placed his hand on his hip, watching her behind his silver hair, his smile ever-lasting. "So, she's.. the woman you're so.. infatuated with.." Narcissus whispered, chuckling as he felt Undertaker's eyes narrow at him behind his mess of hair. "Hih.."
It was true. Undertaker was truly smitten with [Name], and though he made it obvious with his actions... One would say the sarcastic woman was truly oblivious.
Narcissus could understand why he's so infatuated. [Name] seemed like a lovely woman. Her eye bags added a nice touch to her already beautiful face. Her voice, a nice sound when it resonated in his ears. Her hands were gentle too. And to add to the list, she had a mind of her own, something Narcissus truly admires in a woman. Narcissus let out a small hum, giving Undertaker a side-long glance as his brow raised underneath his hood.
[Name] opened her eyes, giving Rachel's headstone a gentle graze of her fingers after she pulled her hand out of her muff and leaned down.
"The earl was a good man.." Narcissus murmured while [Name] moved to Vincent's headstone. [Name] never really favored Vincent. While she was young, he and Rachel started courting, but she wasn't.. exactly delighted.
[Name] was attached to the older woman. A tad bit possessive, one would say. But over time, she grew fond of Vincent with his nonchalant mannerisms and intriguing conversations—that they slowly got along.
Though, Rachel and Angelica remained her bestest of friends along with Undertaker, so Vincent was considered a simple, close companion that she could hold a good conversation with. And the father of her godchildren..
[Name] frowned lightly, closing her eyes as she silently prayed for his.. harvested soul. Undertaker kept a keen eye on her from the family's cemetery's entrance, learning her behavioral and emotional cues from afar.
Honestly, it's all he's done from the years he's know her. Narcissus had to deal with his squabble back when he would visit Undertaker when the latter had acquired new information on the mourning woman.
If Narcissus could narrow down a description of Undertaker, it would be "Perceptively Obsessive".
[Name] wasn't aware of any of that, albeit being the best of friends—being one of the only few people who embraced and welcomed his morbidity and eccentricity—everyone had their secrets.
"May your soul rest in peace.." She murmured quietly, lowering herself down and placing her palm against Vincent's headstone, a small frown remaining on her face.
[Name] couldn't imagine how Undertaker must've felt when she had broke the news to him of Vincent's untimely death. And she couldn't imagine how he must've felt now being so close yet so far from his darling friend.
Narcissus narrowed his eyes gently towards [Name], his lips remaining in a soft up-curve as he observed the woman.
He could've left moments ago, since he finished his job in praying for the dead and sprinkling holy water on the headstones to repel dark spirits.
