6. Don't make a promise if you know you may not grant it

This thing will haunt you like an hungry wolf if the person promised don't. Promises mean alot, to people like me they mean everything. And after it's broken sorry will mean almost nothing because you gave false hope and my trust in you will decrease drastically.
