============================

Emily tried to calm down her nerves. Her knuckles turned almost white as Kaylee and her travelled in the same route, to Rachel's Family home.

Memories of the crash gripped Emily. She had requested Kaylee to turn off the radio, causing the car ride to be eerily silent except for the sound of air coming out of the airconditioner.

Kaylee gripped Emily's hand as she drove on, trying to calm her down.

"If you're not comfortable, you can tell me...I'll meet them personally..."

Kaylee was interrupted by Emily's hand waving infornt of her.

"No..I want to speak with them personally..." Emily trailed off.

Kaylee nodded and continued driving.

The sky threatened to pour down raindrops. Lightening streaks often filled the sky. Then came the sound of rumbling thunder.

Raindrops pattered on the car window. The frequency of raindrops drastically increased and soon turned into a downpour.

Emily followed the movements of the wipers, as it moved side to side hypnotised by them.

Memories took hold of Emily's mind.

Emily POV

"Mommy? Where are we going?" I asked my mom who was driving the car.

The wipers tried the hardest to keep away the raindrops falling on the window.

She silently wiped her tears and looked at my eyes with a smile on her face.

"You'll see baby."

I continued to watch the vehicles buzz about outside.

"Baby?" I heard my mother's shaking voice. I hummed as I turned my head around to see her.

"No matter what...happens...you must promise me you'll stay strong."

I looked at her, slightly confused, yet nodded.

She placed a kiss on my forehead and proceeded to drive, wiping stray tears from her cheek.

What I hadn't realised that day, It would be the last day I would see my mother.

THIRD PERSON POV

"Emily?" Kaylee's voice seemed to be registered by Emily's mind as it drifted away from the memories.

Emily felt her cheeks wet from the tears. She quickly wiped the tears and looked at Kaylee.

"We're here." Kaylee showed the large house in front. Emily immediately removed her seatbelt and opened her door.

Kaylee looked at Emily with concern as she got down from the car.

"Are you alright?" Kaylee took Emily's hand. Emily quickly gave her a nod and walked towards the main door.

Emily breathed heavily before knocking on the door.

One minute later, the door opened to reveal a woman.

Her face was pretty. Too pretty to be natural. Her nose was thin and straight. Her lips were full and always seemed to smile as the tips were lifted.
