Chapter 6: The character in the book,

Araki Kuyo, is walking in the port mafia building.

Dazai Osamu is busy not only with the heart bomb attack that he dared to provoke the port mafia before, but also with more matters related to territory, weapons, and even cooperation with chaebol and bureaucratic organizations. Araki Kuyo is very concerned about these. I didn't understand much and didn't want to disturb Osamu Dazai's work, so I wandered around the steel fortress built by Osamu Dazai by himself.

The building of the Port Mafia is hundreds of meters high, and the glass and steel structures are all of special grade. They cannot be broken by earthquakes or bullets. Inside are the residences and offices of most of the Port Mafia, as well as torture rooms and intelligence. The rooms are distributed on different floors and dark rooms.

Logically speaking, Araki Kūyo had no one to guide him, so no matter how much he wandered around, he would never reach the torture room that was carefully designed and hidden. However, he just arrived at the torture room where Nakajima Atsushi was being held, as if he were strolling around.

Atsushi Nakajima was naked from the waist up. Although the wound healed quickly under the influence of supernatural powers, the blood that flowed out during the injury still remained mottled on his pale skin.

Probably in order to deepen his introspection, Nakajima Atsushi locked himself in this dark and cold room even after receiving the whipping.

Although the wound has healed, the pain still remains on the flesh and bone marrow, poking Nakajima Atsushi's cerebral cortex from time to time, reminding him of the mistakes he made due to carelessness and half-heartedness.

Nakajima Atsushi was covered in cold sweat. He hugged himself tightly with his arms and gritted his teeth. It seemed that he had gone back to a few years ago. He did not obey Mr. Dazai's order and committed the irreparable crime. The day of the crime.

The environment of the torture room was very similar to the orphanage where Nakajima Atsushi once stayed. When he was young, he was alone in such a cramped, small and dark cage.

It was clear that Atsushi Nakajima hated such a cage when he was a child, but now that he has grown up, the White Death feels at ease in such a dark and narrow environment.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Atsushi Nakajima kept mumbling these words, as if this could pull him out of the cold, muddy abyss where time had stopped since that day.

People who cannot protect others have no value in existence.

This sentence circled in Nakajima Atsushi's mind like a curse.

Just when Atsushi Nakajima was starting to get a little nervous, someone opened the door of the torture room and let the sunlight enter the dark room.

"...Who?"

Nakajima Atsushi raised his hand to block the warm and dazzling sunlight, and a few tears subconsciously oozed out of his narrowed eyes.

Araki Kūyo stood at the door. He looked at the exhausted little tiger. He didn't care about the smell of rust and blood and the cold and damp floating in the torture chamber, so he walked straight in.
