The king entered the city as a wanderer. The city was very beautiful. Many shops in the city were adorned with a variety of dishes that Chandrabhan tasted for the first time. While tasting the delicacies at a sweet shop, he befriended a citizen. He came to know that the name of this city was Sangram Nagar where Raja Vishambhar Rai was ruling. After the two daughters of the king, when the queen gave birth to the third son, there was happiness all around the city. The king organized a feast for the whole city and donated all his wealth. A huge yagya and feast were organized. The subject blessed their future king. But the king's happiness could not last long.
The prince was handsome and brave. He had all the qualities of a good king, he would have become a good kind and fair king and the people would have loved him if he had not lost in the forest. The king named his son Prem Pratap Rai. On his 15th birthday, he went to the forest to hunt. Where he got separated from his soldiers while chasing a lion. Even after searching for a lot, the soldiers returned without him and told the whole matter to the king. More soldiers were sent to dense forest areas where no one had gone till that day. But only a small number of soldiers returned from there and reported a terrible monster found in the forest. His body was like a huge stone and weapons did not affect him. He always stays in those dense forests and never comes out of there.
The soldiers estimated that the prince must have collided with that demon in the dense forest and was eaten by him. After that, no one dares to go there. Many of the soldiers whom the king sent were eaten away by that monster.
He used to disappear somewhere in the forest with them, but the soldiers kidnapped by him never returned. After making many efforts, finally, the king was convinced that the prince was dead. No one who went to that side returned. That demon is ten times taller than a common man.
According to the citizen, the demon's presence was revealed after the prince's disappearance as no one had ever gone to those terrible forests before.
Whoever went there did not come back, people had speculated that wild animals would have eaten them, but the presence of that monster was known only during the search of the prince.
Curious Chandrabhan himself became anxious to see that monster. Till now he had heard mention of demons in stories only. After coming out of the city, he remembered Pitashwa. He reached there in a few moments. The king told him the story told by the citizens and expressed his desire to go into the dense forest.
Peetashwa took him to the dense forest. The king left Peetashva and set out in search of the demon. The demon himself came there sniffing him. It appeared to be a man made of stone. He was a live stone statue. He also seemed to have walking trouble with his heavy body.
Monster grunted in a strange voice.
Chandrabhan took out his sword.
Monster bowed his head in front of him. Chandrabhan hit the sword heavily, but nothing happened to the monster.
The sword made a sound like it had hit a rock.
After several attacks, the king realized that he was not affected by weapons. And he could also appear or extinct from one place to another. He kept playing with Chandrabhan for a while. When Chandrabhan got tired, he carried him on his shoulder and walked to one side. He took him to a secret cave, this cave was built on a hill and its gate was closed with a big rock. The demon removed the rock with one hand as if opening a wooden door.
Chandrabhan inspected the cave in a short while. There was a chamber at the mouth of the cave which was built by cutting the cave so that this monster could stay there; this place was enough for the monster to live. On one side of the cave room was another way to one more cave which was not visible due to darkness. A stone platform was also built in the cave. The platform was not empty. Someone was lying there be .. dead.
