You're now at work and it's the start of yet another week.
You're yawning constantly today as your workload has lightened significantly the past few weeks. Sighing, you slowly get through some of the work that your boss wanted you to do during the slow time before month-end starts.
"Y/N!" you hear, causing you to turn your head slightly towards the direction of the sound. You see that Jieun is excitedly heading towards you. You grin up at her as she lets out an eager squeal, causing a few dirty looks from a few of the people sitting around you. "Did you hear the good news?!"
"Shh," you quietly say, gesturing for her to lower her volume. "No, what news?" you question.
"SUGA said he wants to do another song with me once 'Eight' is done!" she exclaims.
"Are you going to tell your friend to shut up, or do you need one of us to do that for you?" One of your coworkers speaks up, causing you to quietly apologize. You then look over at Jieun, glaring at her for a second as she ignored what you had said seconds before.
"Sorry..." she whispers before pointing towards the direction of the breakroom. "Maybe talking about it in the breakroom is better." Nodding your head, you start walking towards the break room and Jieun follows behind you. While in the breakroom, you start making a coffee.
"So... just one other song?" you question while making the coffee.
"For now, yes." She states before shrugging her shoulders. "But hopefully two songs lead to three which then leads to an album." You nod your head as she says this before biting onto your lower lip.
"Hopefully that's the case." You state before grinning. "You do have the potential."
"That reminds me," Jieun says before pointing towards you. "How's your song going with SUGA?" You raise your eyebrows as she asks this before smiling as you think about your little secret with Yoongi.
"It's still in the beginning phase." You state while shrugging a shoulder. "Not sure about it yet but we'll see."
"Ah, okay. Well, let me know if you need any help with the process." She states. "I can always sit in on your sessions like you do for me and give advice or anything you need." She smiles. Your face scrunches up in uncertainty before you shake your head.
"I don't think that's a good idea..." you say, watching as her smile falters in disappointment. "It's just, I get nervous when singing in front of people." You state, causing her face to no longer look disappointed but rather understanding instead.
"Ohh," she says before nodding her head. "Makes sense, I used to be sing-shy too." She says while smiling.
"Well, I'm glad to hear about your good news!" you say, causing her to smile widely. "I already had a feeling you'd end up working with him more. He seemed so invested in 'Eight' since the first time we went to his studio."
"Yeah... I'm still in shock about it every time I go to his studio." She says before sighing contently. "Sometimes it still feels like a dream."
"Well, it's your reality, bask in it." You say while grinning. You then point towards the exit. "I have to get back to work so I'll catch up with you later."
"Okay! See you later!" she says while eagerly waving at you.
Leaving the breakroom, you make your way back to your desk, apologizing to your coworkers once more before sitting at your desk. Once you sit down with your coffee in hand, you take a sip of it and sigh with relief as you finally get more caffeine into your system.
