I leaned against a effortlessly painted wall, slowly losing my precious patience.
"Where in the world is he..." I sighed, trying to find my chaotic boyfriend, Rui. That annoying guy...
I've already searched all the rooms twice in his average sized house, messaged Tsukasa multiple times and I still couldn't find him...! Well, searched everywhere except for his roomーand his fridge apparently. I'll go check his own room first, before having to contact his entire troupe...
Even though I've only seen his room once, it has to be one of the untidiest and messiest rooms I have ever seen in my whole life. Everything except for his somewhat tidy desk is quite messed up, I guess. I mean, who leaves their small, dangerous screwdrivers on the floor?
"Rui?" I called out as I instinctively opened the door to his room, only to be met with no one inside, making me sigh in frustration.
Disappointedly, I walked around his dusty room a bit, one of his new inventions catching my attention. I haven't seen this one before.
"What's this?"
I carefully inspected the object without holding it. It seemed like some sort of shrink ray. Why would he leave such an item on his desk though? It almost feels like I'm walking into a meticulous trap.
While I delicately picked the invention up with my strangely twitchy hands, I made the worst, most horrible decision of my life by pointing it right at me. Accidentally, I pressed a tiny red button on it, which suddenly made me...shrink?
As if on purpose, Rui suddenly walked into the room, startling my small body. He actually noticed me somehow, standing on his chair like a helpless creature.
It wasn't exactly the worst decision ever, just a horrible one.
"Hm~" His face that was filled with surprise quickly turned into a smirk.
"What have you done to me...?" I blinked many times, panicking and looking everywhere.
"Don't worry, it'll wear off in a few minutes. I think?"
So I was correct, this really is a trap...!
Feeling very annoyed, I asked him why he had tested his newest invention on me.
"Fufufu~ Well, it wasn't really supposed to be you, but you were the first person to step inside my room," he chuckled. Is he seriously enjoying this?
Rui slowly came closer to me and knelt down, smiling.
"You're currently about fifteen centimeters in height." He looked at me curiously. The short height was already enough to freak me out on the inside, except you probably couldn't tell from my expressionless face. But, you could tell I was panicking a little.

"Your turning back into average height again..." he inspected me, commenting with some sort of a sad tone.
I glared at him while I yawnedー still a little annoyed. It's been ten minutes, and according to Rui, I've gradually gotten back a third of my original size. Luckily for me but sadly for Rui, the effects revert back pretty quickly. In approximately twenty more minutes, I'll be back to normal. It felt like forever, even though it was only a mere ten minutes of waiting.
"Are you hungry?"
"Just a bit thirsty, why?"
"Alright." Rui stood up and dusted his knees.
He then proceeded to go pour a small glass of water for me. I have no idea why it took him five minutes, neither was I bothered to question why.
Is this some kind of apology from him?
I took a small sip from the glass.
Anyway, Rui and I continued talking about random stuff and people with each other, which made passing the time much more easy.
At last, there were only five minutes left. I was now around my original height.
Both of us had hardly gotten any sleep yesterday, which made both of us yawn uncontrollably every minute that passed.
I laid down on his unusually comfortable couch, my eyelids almost shutting immediately, which I let them close. I almost fell asleep on Rui's sofa.
Suddenly, he came over to me and laid down slowly along with me, hugging me tightly as well. The sudden touch from his cold fingers made me shiver, jolting upwards too.
He chuckled, obviously amused, before saying something again.
"Goodnight, or should I say good evening?" Rui spoke with his usual calm, pretty voice.
"Whatever, nobody cares anyway." I lightly kissed his forehead, mutterring a "good night" and dozing off afterwards.
