AS DANI MADE her way to the Byers' house, the golden hues of the setting sun stretched long shadows across the quiet streets of Hawkins. The soft, warm light bathed the houses in rich amber and gold, their silhouettes growing darker as the evening air turned crisp. One by one, the street lamps flickered to life, their hazy glow cutting through the creeping dusk, casting soft halos onto the pavement.
