"Boy, do I have a feeling we're getting close." Negan said, walking forwards and out of the shadows. He hadn't looked at Alicia yet, but she couldn't take her eyes off of him.
He looked the same. He had the same salt and pepper bearer with the short gray hair. She recognized the leather jacket he wore as the one she had bought him for Christmas when she was thirteen.
She looked down at her own leather jacket and suddenly felt very constricted by the fabric. She watched as his eyes scanned the group, still not landing on her.
"It's gonna be pee pee pants city here real soon." He smirked, looking at her friends.
"Boss." Simon smiled. "We've got a surprise for you."
Negan smiled never looking away from the group. "Well... you do know how I love surprises."
"She's right here boss."
The two men pushed Alicia towards the rest of her group and her eyes finally met Negans.
He stared for a minute, his eyes wide and his mouth slightly agape. "Holy shit." He mumbled.
The father and daughter stared at each other, neither one saying a word as they looked. It had been over five years since they had last seen each other.
He walked towards her and pulled her into a hug. Alicia tried and failed to pull away, struggling against his arms.
"The last time I saw you your hair was purple." He smiled, looking down at her.
"Yeah and the last time I saw you I prayed for you to be hit by a train." She snapped.
"You're not still salty about the whole-"
"I am." Alicia cut him off, stepping away from him.
Negan laughed, cupping her face with his palm. "It's good to have you home Darling."
Alicia grimaced at the name, her whole body shivering unpleasantly at the way he said it. Nobody called her that but Daryl.
"There's even more news." Simon chipped in walking towards the two.
"Do tell me." Negan smiled.
"Look at the rock on her finger."
Negans eyes darted to her left hand and back up to her face. His lips curled into a smile. "You're married? To Johnathan, is that bastard still alive?"
Alicia scoffed. "No he's not alive. He left me after the miscarriage."
Negan nodded. "So who's the lucky man."
Alicia wasn't gonna answer but someone beat her to it.
"I am." She looked over to see Daryl sitting up a little bit straighter. "She's my wife."
There was a silence before her father burst into laughter. "Alicia, baby what the hell!? I thought you had better taste than that!"
She scowled. "Fuck you."
He just laughed some more, slinging his arm around her shoulders. "Oh honey you need to work on that." He shook his head. "Chair!"
Suddenly Dwight was scurrying towards Negan and Alicia, a folding chair in his hands. Negan looked at his daughter and pointed to the chair.
"Now, if you promise to be good... I'll let you sit in that chair." He said. "I hate to cut our reunion shirt but I've got some business to take care of. After that I'm all yours."
He guided her towards the chair, motioning for her to sit down. She did, and waited as he walked back to the group.
He walked in front of the group for a moment before speaking. "Which one of you pricks is the leader?" He asked.
Simon spoke up, pointing to Rick. "It's this one. He's the guy."
Negan walked over to him. "Hi. You're Rick right? I'm Negan and I do not appreciate you killing my men. Also when I sent my people to kill you people, for killing my people... you killed more of my people. Not cool." He shook his head. "Not fucking cool. You have no fucking idea how not fucking cool that shit is but I think you're gonna be up to speed shortly." He looked down at the ground. "You are so gonna regret crossing me in a few minutes. Fuck yes you are."
He walked around some more. "You see Rick whatever you fucking do, no matter what, you don't mess with the new world order. The new world order is this, and it's really very simple. So even if you're mother fucking stupid which you very may well be... you can understand it. You ready? Here goes, pay attention." He pointed his bat at Rick and leaned closer to him. "Give me your shit or I will kill you."
Alicia stood up. "Stop." She said, walking towards him. "Please."
Negan looked at his daughter. "I haven't even done anything." He smirked.
"I know that look." She pleaded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Please."
He sighed. "Baby they have got to understand... they work for me now. They have shit, they give it to me." He smiled, patting her cheek. "If they don't, I'll kill them. Easy." He chuckled. "I want them to work for me. They can't do that if they're fucking dead now can they?" He turned to look at Rick. "I'm not growing a garden."
"Then don't." She said, grabbing his arm.
He out a finger to his chin. "But." He started. "You guys killed my people. A whole fucking damn shit load of them. More than I'm comfortable with, and for that," he turned his back on Alicia walking to the group. "For that you gotta fucking pay." He looked around at everyone on their knees. "So now... I'm gonna beat the holy fuck fucking fuckity fuck out of one of you."
"Dad-"
"Shhh baby." He grinned at his daughter. "You remember Lucille right?" He chuckled. "She's still a bitch."
"Don't do this." She pleaded with him. "I'm begging you."
He sighed. "I've just got to do it honey." He turned to his men. "Hold her back."
"No!"
