Forever Young : Im Jaebum

「chapter two」

"Yah!" I shouted, trying to get my phone back.

He ignored me and started to walk away, tapping on my phone. He suddenly stopped at one point and his eyes widened as he turned back to me.

"You're going out on a date?"
"Uhh... Yeah..." I nodded slowly.
"With a boy?"

He's acting like I don't date.

I nodded and he raised his eyebrows.

"Since when?"
"Last week,"

He rolled his eyes and threw my phone back to me. He sat down on the floor and grabbed a pillow from the couch, hugging it to is chest.

"What's up with you? It's just one date, JB."
"I'm not used to it. You going out with boys."

A smile made its way to my face. Just now, his brotherly protective side comes out. It rarely does, so it's a nice change for him to act this way.

"Jaebum-ah," I sat down beside him. He didn't acknowledge me.

I bit my lip. Why is he ignoring me? I really don't get it.

"Yah!" I hit his arm. He glanced at me, a somewhat amused expression on his face.
"You don't have to hit me, you know,"
"You were ignoring me,"
"I wasn't. I was just sort of distracted,"
"Oh,"

I sort of feel bad now.

"Did you fix your stuff already?" he suddenly asked me. My mouth dropped open slightly.
"I forgot..."
"Yeah," he chuckled. "I could tell. When will you fix them?"

I shrugged and didn't say anything. I leaned my head against his shoulder.

Skin ship never bothered him. Our relationship was strictly sibling like so this was okay. Holding hands, hugging, pretty much everything was fine and if someone asked if we were dating, we'd just deny it and say we were best friends.

"Why don't you have a girlfriend, Jaebum?"
"I'm not interested,"

His tone made it clear it was the end of our discussion on that topic.

"Where exactly are you going?" he raised his eyebrows.
"We're going to watch a movie and eat. That's pretty much it,"

He was silent.

"I guess that's fine for a movie date," he told me before looking back at his phone. "Who is he, anyway?"
"That transferee in your class, Mark,"

The way he reacted when I told him really amused me. He literally threw his phone to the ground and jumped up to look me in the eye. Is it that surprising?

"For real?"
"Yes, why are you so shocked?"

He stared at me for a long time before shaking his head.

"Forget it. Was he the one who asked you out first?"

I nodded. He looked at my expression for a while before sitting back down and grabbing his phone from the floor and starting to check it for damages while muttering under his breath.

"Did you break your phone?"
"Fortunately," he turned it around, double checking, "It's okay."

I laughed and patted his arm. I slung my bag over my shoulder and smiled at him.

"See you later,"
"Yeah, bye,"
"Just order and eat in when you get hungry,"
"I know," he nodded, typing quickly on his phone again. He glanced at me and smiled reassuringly. "You don't want to be late, do you?"
"No," I shook my head. "Hold on, last question,"

He raised an eyebrow.

"Do I look okay?"
"You look fine, don't worry," he rolled his eyes. "Now go. Have fun,"

I waved at him and went out, closing the door behind me. I caught a taxi and said the place where we were meeting. The whole ride, I was texting.

For some reason, that made me smile. And those emoticons at the end...

When the taxi stopped in front of the entrance, I paid the driver and immediately got out, speed walking towards the cinema, on the fourth floor.

"Whoa, careful," he grabbed my arm, chuckling, as I nearly tripped from running. "Why were you running? We're not in a hurry or anything, you know,"
"Oh,"

He laughed again and put his arm around me, leading me to the ticket counter and asking me what genre of movie I wanted to watch as we walked.

"Something like horror," I replied.
"Not romance? I thought girls liked that,"
"Oh, I do, but as I'm best friends with a guy for practically half my life, I've learned to love horror movies more than those cheesy romance movies,"

He seemed so happy about that.

And so, he bought the tickets. Since there was an hour and a half before it started, we decided to just walk around.

"Do you want to get something to eat already?" he asked me after ten minutes.
"Please," I nodded.

Mark won't exactly be a part of this story, he'll just be in this chapter (and maybe the next, too) I just decided to put him here since I'm most comfortable writing stories with Mark in them ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ How is this chapter?? Comments??~ :)
