8. deja - vu

                  'chapter 8, deja- vu'

Avery, Chloe, and Zach were walking in the snow in front where the lodges will be located, so Avery could go and find her gloves.

"I think I left them inside on the table." Avery runs to the lodge area.

"Mhmm." Chloe says.

"See you in just a sec." Avery shouts.

"Ok." Zach and Chloe say, while Chloe runs to make a snowball and throws it at Zach.

"Wow, you have a pretty good arm for a computer nerd." Zach says.

"Hey! I am not a nerd!" Chloe laughs as she speaks.

"Sorry, there, miss, but..." Zach says while forming a snowball.

"You're not going to throw that at my head, are you? Because I can't throw it at your head, concussion, boy."

"Nobody said it had to be a fair fight or anything." Zach says, but Chloe throws a snowball at him, making him throw his back.

"Is that all you got?" Chloe asks.

"Really? You want a real battle?" Zach asks, while forming a new snowball.

"Bring it." Chloe speaks, but is distracted by Avery, causing her to turn in her direction.

"Hey guys! I found them." Avery shouts from the top of the lodge as Chloe gets hit on the side of her face hard by Zach's snowball.

"Ow!" Chloe says, holding her face laughing.

"Hey, hey, I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Zach says, running to Chloe almost almost making them fall, but catches up and catches up with them.

"You good?" Zach asks. "Yep." Chloe says.

"That's completely my fault, I'm sorry." Zach says, leaning in and giving her a peck on the lips.

"That may leave a mark."
Zach says but then freezes up.

"You okay?" Chloe asks. "Yeah, I don't know if I feel like I'm having deja vu." Zach says.

"There's something I have to tell you." Chloe says.

"Hey! No smootching in front of your little sister." Avery says.

"Thank you, thank you, Avery." Zach says.

Back at home, Chloe gets dressed after her shower after the snow she was in and receives a FaceTime call from her best friend Ella.

"Hey, elle!" As Chloe responds to the call.

"Hey clo! I feel like I haven't seen you in a while." Elle speaks while she pouts.

"I know, but we'll be back tomorrow." Chloe says.

"So, is everything going well with Zach?" Elle asks, wanting to know all the tea.

"It's great, I never thought I would gravitate to someone so quickly like this. This was the whole reason I rejected him because I didn't know him. I always questioned how would I like him so quickly, but I honestly think life just told me I was wrong." Chloe explains.

"Aww! Sounds like you're in love." Elle says.

"I don't know what it is, but I love the feeling." Chloe says.

Everyone was in their own rooms, while Chloe and Zach were on the couch, with Zach lying on Chloe's legs and sleeping.

"Are you awake?" Zach asks, tapping on her, making her giggle.

"Yea." Chloe closes her song book and says.

"Hey." Zach says. "Hey." Chloe replies.

"I'm pretty tired, so I'm going to go up to our room and sleep." Zach says, sitting back up.

"Of course." Chloe mentions rubbing his arm. "Wait before you leave." Chloe says.

"What's wrong, baby?" Zach asks.

"I just wanna thank you for such a lovely day, like I had a wonderful time." Chloe says.

"Sound surprised again." Zach smiles.

"I think it just wasn't what I expected. You're really full of surprises, Zach McLarnen." Chloe says.

"Well, I mean.." Zach says, leaning into her and kissing her lips, but this time a little longer.

"You're full of surprises, Zoey Wallace." Zach says, making Chloe freeze up when the name moves away.

"You okay?" Zach asks. "Are you ready to go upstairs?" Chloe asks.

"What's wrong?" Zach asks."Nothing's wrong, I'm just hoping that when you get back to school and your memory returns, you will remember this day and still want to hang out." Chloe expresses.

"Of course we will, why wouldn't I?"
Zach asks. "I don't know, just a thought." Chloe responds.

"Alright, come on." Zach says, grasping her hand.
