Chapter 17

JOE'S P.O.V
The last few weeks Emily had been acting different, i knew the situation at school wasn't the best for her right now because of the insults she was receiving from the kids in Daniel's year but apart from that i think there was something else. When we went out she wouldn't act her usual funny self and we it was only the three of us at home she wouldn't want to play fifa or anything. I knew she was over with what had actually happened with Dani so i couldn't figure it out. I let it go on for another few weeks before alerting Zoe about it through a phone call.

"Hey Zoee" I spoke into the phone.
"What's up jojo?"
"It's Emily, she's been acting weird the past few weeks, she's not her usual self"
"Well Joe, you know she's having a bit of a tough time at school, so it's probably that"
"I just think there's something more going on"
"D'you want to bring her down her to brighton?"
"I think we could all use some calm in our lives, she finishes school on wednesday so maybe we can go on Thursday and spend the weekend over there if that sounds good?"
"I think that'd be perfect, and Alfie and I are going to the Sacconejolys on Friday to a park so we can take Emily, she has a great time with Emilia".
"Yes, that's probably a good plan, i'll tell her when she gets back from school"
"Okay Joe but don't worry about her, i'm sure she's fine, just overthinking too much"
"Yeah, i'm sure that's it, bye Zoe"
"Bye jojo"
I hang up and went to the living room. Caspar was sitting on the sofa playing a video game as usual.
"Just got of the phone with Zoe" i said sitting down beside him. "She told me that we should go and i told her we'd go, you're up for it right?"
"Yep, completely" he nodded, his eyes fixed on the tv.
"Caspar, get off the tv, let's go pick up Emily from school and then we can go to have lunch somewhere." I smiled turning the tv off.
"Ugh Joe" He groaned turning the tv on again.
"We'll go get pizza" i laughed as he shot up from the sofa and ran downstairs.
"I'm gonna shower" he yelled as he ran down.
After having a quick shower and getting dressed me and Caspar called for a taxi, and got to Emily's school a bit early so we went out and went into the school. Soon enough we were surrounded by teenagers who wanted a photo with us. As Caspar and i were taking photos with the kids i spotted Emily in a corner in the background with a group of girls and boys around her, but they seemed quite older than her, as soon as i saw the guy push her against a locker, i ran towards them but before i could get there the head teacher was there taking control of the situation.
"Nick, James, Leila, Marla, Sarah and Taylor get out of here and i expect you in my office after classes." She spoke getting near Emily and giving a gentle pat on the back. "I'll try to sort it out love" she said sweetly, she was a close friend of our dad.
"Heelloo" i said walking up to miss Jamming and Emily. "How's everyone doing?" I smiled pretending not having witnessed what had happened.
"Everything's perfect" Emily faked smiled "What are you doing here?"
"Oh nothing Caspar and i wanted to go for lunch and we got here a bit early, have you finished your classes?" I asked.
"She's fine to go" Miss Jamming said "I'll talk to your anatomy teacher"
"Thank you Miss" she smiled as the old woman with a few strands of grey hair in her dark brown hair walked away.
"I need to put these in my locker, i'll see you outside" Emily said walking over to her locker which was half way through the hallway we were standing in. I walked back to were Caspar was and after saying goodbye to the kids we went outside and sat on the grass waiting for Emily.
After a few minutes she came out the school doors and i noticed a small cut on her lip i hadn't noticed before.
"What's that?" I asked as she got closer.
"What's what?" She wondered looking at me strangely.
"That on your lip" i frowned looking at her lip.
She touched her lip with a finger and then looked at her bloody finger.
"Must be a paper cut" she laughed
We got in the car and drove to a domino's that was five minutes away from the school. We went in and sat down, the place was completely alone, no costumers and no workers. We thought it was a hidden camera for a while, after five minutes of calling out behind the counter we sat down on a table to wait until someone appeared.
"You might want to clean your lip" i said as the cut looked quite saw.
"The bathroom is closed" Caspar added "I tried the door before"
"Well when we get home" I smiled.
We waited for another five minutes and then i took my vlogging camera out.
"Hii guys so i'm here at a domino's pizza with Caspar and Emily" i spoke to the camera. "And there is no workers here to take our order" i pointed to the counter which was empty. "And we've already been here for a good ten minutes" i laughed. "So i think we'll wait five more minutes and if no one comes we will leave and go to pizza hut or something" i said turning the camera off once i'd finished talking. After waiting ten more minutes a worker came out and acted as if nothing.
"Yes, excuse me" Caspar said to the woman "I'd like to order 20 minutes of your time"
The woman looked at Caspar with a funny face, Emily and i couldn't stop laughing.
"Excuse me?" She asked
"Oh it's just me and my friends have been waiting for a good twenty minutes as there was no one here to take our order"
"Well in that case sir i'm very sorry for the wait, we were setting up everything in the back"
"Yeah okay emm we would like a margarita, a jam and cheese and a tropical please"
"They'll be out in a second" She smiled.
Caspar came back to the table and sat down after about 10 minutes the pizzas arrived and after that we went back home and then went back out at night time for a nice walk around london.

Okay so i'm so so so sorry for the wait, i've been on holiday and i've tried this thing called mobile therapy haha (i just made that up but oh well) i only picked up the phone 1 hour each day! It was really hard to survive 😹😹 Yes it was! So next chapter will be back on Emily's P.O.V and will be in the ZALFIE household and Sacconejolys too.
