Chapter 7: Another Assistant?

3rd POV

Y/N was not enjoying his day.

His entire body felt sluggish, his eyes couldn't stay open for longer than 5 seconds, and moving around felt like trying to walk with a metal weight on both legs.

Y/N: Tch, screw you damn Herrscher. First I almost get killed by an Alloy Chariot, then I almost die to you. How tiring...

Y/N climbs a ladder to place some books back into a top shelf, but as he places one, he nearly loses his balance. Luckily, he regains it quickly.

Y/N: Phew...Maybe a break is necessary.

Y/N places the rest of the books back onto the shelf, then makes his way to the closest table so he could take a small break. He sits down at the table, leans forward to rest on the table, and closes his eyes.

Y/N: Maybe...just a small nap...

He begins to drift off to sleep...but of course...

???: Y/N, come on! We gotta get going!

Y/N's eyes snap open, and he lifts his head up and swings it around, trying to figure out who was talking.

Y/N:...Huh..? Oh you have got to be kidding me...

???: Please, Y/N. Get out of there and run away!

Y/N: Ugh...can the voice at least be clear..? Sounds like someone stacked a million voices on top of each other...

???: Y/N, are you alright?

Y/N: This voice...

Y/N looks to his right, and sees Kosuzu looking at him in worry, carrying a couple books in her arms.

Y/N: Ah, hello Kosuzu. I'm just a bit tired, no need to worry.

Kosuzu: Are you sure? If you're really tired, you don't need to continue working! You can go back to your dorm and get some sleep.

Y/N: No, I've already missed a couple days of work at the library. I need to make up for the missed days.

Kosuzu: You know that a big reason we're here is because you need more time to take care of yourself, right? We all know that you suck at keeping yourself in healthy shape! Honestly...

Kosuzu/???: You're so stubborn./You just can't take breaks, can you?

Y/N groans, and slumps onto the desk, as the world begins to spin around him.

Kosuzu/???: Y/N, are you alright?!/See, look what's happened! Come on, let's get you bed.

Y/N: Who...are you...all...

Y/N goes unconscious, as Kosuzu begins to panic.

Kosuzu: Oh dear...Istina, I need you over here right now!

Footsteps are heard from far away, which then quickly disappear. Istina appears after a while, floating her way to their location.

Istina: What's wrong?

Istina then notices Y/N's unconscious state, and her eyes furrow, as she sighs.

Istina: Please go find Mei and the others so they can bring him back to their dorm.

Kosuzu: On it!

Kosuzu rushes off to find the entrance of the library and locate Mei and the others. Istina walks towards Y/N and lets out a sigh.

Istina: Y/N, you are such a handful...

Istina takes a seat beside Y/N and begins to stroke his head to comfort him.
