Chapter 6

"Takemichi, you've been hanging out with Touman all the time lately and ignoring us."

Akkun is upset with Takemichi. Ever since Mikey started hanging out with Takemichi, he's been sleeping in class, skipping school, and spending all his free time with Touman. It's hard for his friends not to feel abandoned.

Takemichi feels embarrassed when he hears the reproach. It is just because of the influence from the previous past that Takemichi this time is especially extremely concerned about Touman, especially Mikey, to listen and observe everyone, so he does not spend more time with his friends. Even the time he spends with Hinata is limited. Takemichi can't say anything more, he just lowers his head and smiles apologetically, promising them another time when he is free.

"I heard that Touman declared war on Mobius. Are you participating? Are you okay?" Yamagishi asks him worriedly.

"I can't not participate in a gang war, man."

"Takemichi is so different lately," Takuya also remarks.

"It means you look more mature," Makoto adds.

"What are you guys talking about?"

As he is talking to them, Baji calls.

"Takemichi, let's go to training after school!"

"What? What training, Baji-kun?"

"Training for the upcoming battle, of course. Chifuyu and I just talked about it. You need a big fight to make an impressive debut in the delinquent world. Meet at Mikey's house, okay?"

Baji hangs up before Takemichi can say anything. A line of black dots with a crow cawing flies over his head.

And so, Takemichi still ends up at Mikey's house. In the past, he didn't come here very often. He rings the doorbell, and the person who opens the door is none other than Emma.

"You're Hanagaki Takemichi, right?"

Seeing Emma, Takemichi can't help but shed tears. He knows that she's still alive at this time, but the memory of her death is still fresh in his mind. He remembers her asking him to take care of Mikey, her unfinished relationship with Draken, and Mikey's despair. He remembers how painful and helpless he felt when he witnessed her death. His heart clenches and his head starts to hurt again. He hugs his head and bends over.

"What's wrong?" Emma asks, worried about the stranger in front of her.

"Yo, Takemichi is here?"

Baji hears the doorbell and runs out to see Takemichi clutching his head and bent over to Emma's surprise. Baji quickly rushes over to him.

"Takemichi, what's wrong?"

"Nothing! My head just hurts a little."

A strange voice rings in Takemichi's head again. He hugs his head and tries to stop it. He says it's just a little bit, but Baji can tell from his grimacing face and sweaty forehead that it's anything but. Without thinking, Baji picks him up princess-style and walks into the house, to the surprise of both Takemichi and Emma.

"What are you doing, Baji-kun?" Takemichi panics and grabs Baji's shoulders tightly.

"If you're in pain, go home and rest. Who sits outside the door like that? You're not only weak, you're also sick and a crybaby. Don't you feel ashamed crying in front of a girl?"

Takemichi feels resentful, but he can't say anything. However, his angry expression is all over his face, and his face is red as a tomato with embarrassment. Baji looks at him and wants to laugh again. If he met someone else who was angry and sulky, he would have punched them a few more times. He doesn't understand why he doesn't feel any resentment towards Takemichi, and even wants to look at him more. How strange!
