AN: Hi,  I skipped around the court trial a little

Everyone remained gathered at Joe's cozy place, celebrating Christmas with warmth and joy. Laughter filled the room as Lucy's giggles echoed while Daniel playfully engaged with her on the soft carpeted floor. Caitlin's face lit up with a gentle smile, her heart swelling with happiness at the sight of her daughter surrounded by their loving family.

Suddenly, the tranquility was interrupted by the shrill ring of Caitlin's cellphone. With a curious expression, she answered the call, her voice calm and composed. "Hello," she greeted, unaware of the news that awaited her on the other end of the line.

A voice from Central City Jail broke the silence, seeking permission for a collect call from none other than Barry Allen. Without hesitation, Caitlin agreed to accept the charges, her mind racing with confusion and concern.

As Barry's voice filled the airwaves, Caitlin's world seemed to come crashing down. Shock and disbelief painted her features as she processed the words he spoke. "Cait, I've been arrested for the murder of Clifford DeVoe," Barry's voice trembled with uncertainty and fear.

Struggling to comprehend the gravity of the situation, Caitlin listened intently as Barry recounted the details of the grim discovery at the loft. The news spread quickly among the family, shattering the festive atmosphere of Christmas with a cloud of distress and worry that lingered in the air long after the call ended.

Several days had elapsed since the apprehension of Barry Allen on charges related to the demise of Clifford Devoe.

Young Lucy Allen found herself perplexed by the sudden absence of her father, unable to comprehend his whereabouts.

Following an extensive period exceeding 24 hours, during which he was subjected to relentless interrogation, Barry was eventually released on bail by Caitlin. Consequently, he was placed under house arrest, confined to the confines of his own residence.

Barry stood in the cortex of S.T.A.R. Labs, his expression a mix of frustration and realization. "This is precisely what Devoe desired. We all unwittingly fell into his intricate scheme, particularly myself," he confessed.

Iris, with a furrowed brow, inquired, "But what could Devoe possibly gain from orchestrating all of this chaos?"

Barry pondered for a moment before responding, "The origins of this predicament trace back to my emergence from the speed force."

Joe, with a concerned look, interjected, "Why set his sights on Dominic, though?"

Harry, with a tone of certainty, explained, "Devoe likely seized the opportunity to inhabit Dominic's body due to his unique abilities. We should have detected this threat sooner."

Caitlin, with a hint of worry in her voice, raised another question, "And what about the other metahumans created from the bus incident? What implications does this hold for Daniel and Zack?"

Harry contemplated the inquiry before suggesting, "It could be a piece of a larger puzzle, a part of Devoe's grand design."

Barry, feeling the weight of the situation, absentmindedly scratched his foot, the ankle monitor drawing attention. Ralph, noticing this, quizzically asked, "How are you even present here, Allen? Aren't you under house arrest?"

Barry, with a hint of evasion, replied, "Well..."

Cisco, with a mischievous grin, chimed in, "He's technically at Joe's place or the courthouse. I managed to hack into the ankle monitor's GPS.

Cisco had not only hacked one thing. As you emerged from the speed force, you were speaking incoherently at the Central City Police Department. "You mentioned something about not wanting to harm anyone," Iris recounted.
