A year had come and gone since the chaotic events involving Savitar. Countless changes had unfolded during that time, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved.
Barry Allen remained trapped within the speed force, his absence deeply felt by his loved ones. It was during this period that Cisco Ramon, a close friend, sought out Caitlin Snow at the bar where she now worked. They needed her assistance in rescuing Barry.
Initially hesitant, Caitlin carried a weighty secret that she had kept hidden from the world. Unbeknownst to anyone, she had given birth to a beautiful daughter named Lucia Nicole, who was now three months old.
"Listen, Caitlin, I've figured out a way to save Barry. But I can't do it without your help," Cisco pleaded, his eyes filled with determination.
Caitlin let out a weary sigh, contemplating her options. "My shift ends in an hour. After that, I need to go home and take care of something first," she replied, her voice tinged with a mix of apprehension and hope.
Cisco regarded her with suspicion, sensing that there was more to her words than met the eye. "What do you mean, 'someone'? Who are you talking about?" he inquired, his curiosity piqued.
A faint smile graced Caitlin's lips as she met Cisco's gaze. "You'll find out soon enough. Just please, try not to hate me too much," she murmured, her voice laced with both regret and anticipation.
With that, Caitlin unlocked the door to her apartment, Cisco following closely behind. As they stepped inside, uncertainty hung in the air, and Caitlin couldn't help but think, Here goes nothing.
Caitlin exchanged a few words with Lisa, the nanny, before the young girl gathered her belongings and left the apartment. With a sense of purpose, Caitlin made her way to the bassinet nestled in the corner of the room. Gently, she lifted her awake daughter, Lucy, into her arms.
"Cisco, I'd like you to meet my daughter, Lucy," Caitlin introduced with a soft smile, her voice filled with both pride and vulnerability.
Cisco turned to face her, his eyes widening in disbelief. "Daughter? How? When? What?" he stammered, his mind struggling to comprehend the revelation.
Caitlin chuckled lightly, brushing off his questions. "Well, if you don't know, I think you need a refresher on the birds and the bees," she teased, attempting to lighten the mood.
Cisco's confusion persisted. "I know how it works, Caitlin, but you haven't been with anyone. I mean, I know you and Julian didn't... well, I don't think so," he stumbled over his words, searching for an explanation.
Caitlin shook her head, her expression serious. "No, she isn't Julian's. If you take a good look at her, you'll quickly figure out who her father is. She bears a striking resemblance to him," she revealed, her voice tinged with a mix of sadness and longing.
Intrigued, Cisco stepped closer to Caitlin and baby Lucy, his eyes studying the child intently. Lucy indeed shared Caitlin's nose, ears, and mouth, but her eyes and hair color remained a mystery, keeping him guessing.
As Cisco's gaze fell upon Lucy's eyes, his shock was palpable. The color was unlike anything he had ever seen before, and her hair color held its own surprises. The truth of Lucy's parentage was slowly unraveling before his eyes, leaving Cisco speechless and filled with a mix of wonder and curiosity.
Cisco's eyes widened in disbelief as he processed Caitlin's words. "That's not possible. You and Barry never... he wouldn't cheat on Iris," he blurted out, his voice filled with a mix of shock and protectiveness towards his friend.
