Harlows POV~

today was my first day as a junior at Tarleton State University. the only reason I went to this stupid school was for the rodeo team. I barrel race and I might add, I'm not too shabby. I started my sophomore year of high school and my parents thought 'oh it's just a phase no big deal'. but here I am 6 years later in college doing rodeo. the other reason I agreed to go to college is because my parents thought it would help me get AWAY from rodeo, but you don't always get what you wish for.

anyways I'm currently walking to my first class of the day. oh yeah I'm also going to learn k-12 education. maybe some day when I'm settled down and have kids I'll stop with this lifestyle and become a teacher. who am I kidding, I'll never settle down. I'm not interested in boys, or kids, or a family for that matter. I have one friend and that's only because she's my roommate and don't tell her but she's kinda funny and I guess Id consider her my best friend. hey name is Remedy Glynn. and she also barrel races, but she's been doing it since freshman year of college. she didn't grow up on a ranch so she never had much experience with horses, but something about them drew her in.

finally I finished my first class of the day, luckily since it's my junior year I don't really have much to do. I have 3 classes a day and then my rodeo class, which I just go in there with a bunch of other rodeo athletes and we learn about other events and our events and we sometimes have guest speakers. Like one year it was Luke Branquinho and he was there for 2 weeks teaching us about bull dogging. we have these every quarter but with different guests. and they always last 2 weeks. It's usually a bull rider, a bronc rider, a bull dogger, and a barrel racer because that's what half of our team is. we have very few of people that are in other events though.

"hey Harlow" Remedy says as I walk into our apartment for my break. we live in this apartment 10 minutes from campus. It's pretty nice, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. I have my own bathroom (thank you Remy for giving me it) and Remy uses the main one. It also has a pretty decent sized kitchen and a decent size living room.
