One Too Many: The Call Of Olympus

Melanie: Great. Just Great.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T DO IT?" My father yelled.

"I-I didn't! I didn't make Ben jump of the roof! I promise! Please don't hurt me!" I pleaded with the ruthless man towering over me.

"Of course. So then why did he jump off? Ben was a smart boy, and you drove him insane! LEAVE! NOW MELANIE! I WON'T HAVE YOU POISONING MY LIFE EVER AGAIN!" I scrambled to my feet and ran outside. I sprinted straight to my best friend, Bianca's house. Her dad Nico opened the door, and when he saw the hand mark on my cheek, his chocolate brown eyes darkened.

"Will. Come here." He called back. Nico ushered me into their house, and a tall blonde man came running to me.

"Hi Melanie. What happened to you?" Will asked, concerned.

"Dad happened. He thinks I drove a kid to insanity, and made him jump off the school roof. EVERYONE THINKS THAT!" I screamed in anguish. Bianca came running downstairs, her long brown hair flying behind her. She stopped in tracks when she saw me.

"He found out?" She asked, her voice so low that I almost missed what she said. I nodded, and tears streamed down my face.

"Okay, Melanie. Tell us exactly what happened." Will said.

"I-I was on the roof with Ben. He was bullying me, and I was mad, so I told him to jump off the roof. Then his eyes diluted, and he stared blankly at me, before turning and running to the edge of the roof and leaping off." I explained, wiping my tears. Nico, Will and Bianca were the only people who understood me. Will exchanged a look with Nico, then Bianca. Then he turned to me.

"Let's go on a roadtrip. Come on."

"It's 3 in the morning!" I exclaimed.

"It's alright. Let's go Bee." Nico said, and pulled Bianca along.

In a few minutes, we were all piled into their car, we drove off. I had fallen asleep, and by the time I woke up, the sun was rising and we were driving through a forest. We parked in front of a sign thst said "Camp Halfblood". Weird.

"Come on, let's go. This is Bee's summer camp." Nico explained. I nodded, Bianca had me about her summer camp.

We walked towards the entrance, and..... I rubbed my eyes, I must be hallucinating. There was a centaur, and it was galloping to us. He stopped in front of us, and greeted Nico and Will.

"Hey Chiron! This is Melanie Morales. We think she's a new recruit." Will told the centaur, Chiron.

"Hello, Melanie. Welcome to Camp Halfblood." Chiron said. I stepped inside, and suddenly, everyone gasped.

"W-Which god is that?" Bianca asked, pointing at me. No, she was pointing ABOVE me. I snapped my head up to see two symbols. A golden apple surrounded by black mist and a flower, that turned into pomegranate.

"In all my years, I have never seen anything like this. Melanie Morales, daughter of Eris, goddess of strife and discord, and Persephone, goddess of spring, reincarnation, and ghosts."

"What? How is that possible?" Nico asked, confusion evident on his face.

"I do not know, son of Hades. Zeus must know about thi-" Chiron was cut off by a lighting bolt, landing right in front of me. A tall man with salt and pepper hair, and electric blue eyes, dressed in a dark blue pinstripe suit appeared in its place.

"I know." He snapped his fingers and two women appeared. One had dark brown hair like me and violet eyes, and the other was just stunning. She had blonde hair and grass green eyes just like me.

"Persephone, Eris. Is this child yours?" Zeus pointed to me. The blonde, who I assumed was Persephone nodded solemnly, while the other, Eris just picked at her nails and said, "Yeah, yeah. Blah blah blah."

"HOW?" Zeus boomed.

"I met Melanie's father in a cafe, and he was just so charming. I fell in love with him, but then Eris came to me. She wanted to do an experiment. She clouded my mind, and merged with me, and had Melanie. By the time I realised, it was too late. Melanie had been born." Persephone told Zeus, shamefully. Then he turned to Eris.

"Eris. Is this true?"

"Guilty as charged." Eris said, smirking.

"SO BASICALLY I'M A MUTANT EXPERIMENT! WOW! I'M REALLY FEELING THE LOVE!" I yelled. Then I stormed off, Bianca right behind me.
