Appearance: Jack has very pale skin and stands at around 5'7" tall. She has shaggy  black hair that reaches below her ears with her bangs left unkempt over her eyes. Her bangs are bright red. Jack's eyes have dark red sclera, bright red irises and thin black pupils and her eyelids are an even darker shade of red. She is a wolf demon whose normal appearance looks human except for two ears on top of her head the same color as her hair with the tips ending in purple.
She wears a long black hooded overcoat over a long sleeve red button down with the top two buttons left undone over a high collared purple t-shirt, a lose black tie around her neck, capres pants, suspenders, black boots, and black gloves with red fingers. She also carries a staff with her.
Her full demon form is very large. It takes more wolf-like characteristics including a snout and a long tail. Her full form gets much bigger with lanky limbs, long claws, and there are shadows curling around her. This form also gains long horns on top of her head.

History: Born in Fairhope, Alabama in 1919 as the youngest of five, Jack was often looked over in favor of her older siblings. Jack was abused and neglected by her parents. Only one of her siblings ever stood up for her, but there wasn't much they could do to stop their parents. As a result, Jack began acting out just to get her parents' attention. This misbehavior grew more and more negative as she grew older until Jack eventually became too much for her parents and they sent her to live with her grandmother. Jack's mischievous antics stopped for a time after she made her first friend in her early teens.

However, around this time, bullies began tormenting her and her friend and one day, the bullies went too far, causing harm to her friend. This caused Jack to snap and she attacked the bullies, which she was subsequently suspended for. One of the bullies' older siblings, who was an adult in college, eventually found her. Since he was much larger than she was, he took her and sexually assaulted her repeatedly and beat her over and over. This was as revenge for what she had done to his sibling. He would continue to do this daily for two weeks. Jack never told anybody this happened and internalized the trauma for the rest of her life.

When Jack was a teenager in 1933, she heard about Alastor's killings in New Orleans. This is when she started entertaining the idea of killing those who she felt deserved it.

As a killer, children were one thing Jack would never harm. She cared too much about them to do them any harm. She always had a soft spot for children and thought that if her life had turned out different, she would've liked to have children of her own. She also only killed adults who deserved it, never killing without reason. When it came to her adult targets, she would only kill those who deserved it. Most of the time, this was men, but there were occasional women.

When she crossed to the afterlife, Jack chose to keep her name instead of coming up with a new one. She chose to use Jack as her chosen name since most wouldn't assume she was a girl with it. Plus, it paid homage to one of her favorite serial killers, Jack the Ripper.

Though a killer in her human life as well as an Overlord in the Afterlife with at least two known souls under her command, Jack is actually very nice to those who show her kindness in return. In the beginning, once Jack had arrived in the afterlife, on appearance she was as violent and threatening as she had been in life, enslaving any desperate soul (though she never treated them badly). This earned her the moniker, The Chaos Demon, as chaos was a guarantee of her terrorizing. Jack could still be nice, but this tended to be where nobody could see her as showing kindness could cost her her afterlife. She eventually met Alastor, who took her under his wing and helped her hone her abilities.

Until one day, twenty-three years previously, through unknown circumstances, Jack had a change of heart and released the souls that she had forced under her control. Except for two had grown to care for her, as they were the only ones who had seen Jack's kinder side even before her change. These two souls chose to remain with her, even keeping their contracts with her as a necessity rather than her forcing them. The contracts allowed both sides to be aware of the other in case of one of them disappearing.

The first soul still under her was a male named Zen. Because of Jack's relationship with her souls, Zen feels free to be a little snarky with her, which she usually will return. The second was a small demon girl the size and appearance of a child, named Magny. Magny's appearance was one thing that had grabbed Jack's attention. Jack took Magny under her wing and began thinking of the younger demon as her own.

Eventually, with assistance from Zen and Magny, Jack employed many more souls, treating them the same way she treated Zen and Magny. And in return for their loyalty and the power they gave her, Jack gave them protection from anybody who would threaten them.

While she is kinder to those close to her, her enemies are another story. She does take pleasure in tormenting her enemies and sometimes has to be stopped by outside forces to get her to stop.

While she still has a ton of power, it's also dwindled since she's released most of her souls. This is not enough for her to lose her overlord status as she is still a formidable demon.

While she can be terrifying, Jack also has some insecurities and trauma that carried over from her human life. The trauma from her rape as a child is one thing that still affects her, though she tries to suffer that one when she is either alone or with Magny and Zen. She also still gets reminded of her abuse at her parents' hands on occasion which can trigger panic attacks as well. The rest of the hotel gang has yet to witness a panic attack from this, though Alastor himself is aware of her trauma and is surprisingly comforting to her about it.

She is very close to everyone at the Hazbin Hotel, though some bonds took longer than others to form.

- Alastor: Despite having slightly different views on demon redemption, Jack still gets along amazing with Alastor, the two tending to bond over their mutual love for torturing their enemies. Alastor does care about Jack, but doesn't always show it where anyone can see. Alastor is the only one of the hotel gang who is aware of Jack's panic attacks.

- Charlie Morningstar: Jack admires Charlie and her want to help demons. Though Jack is not confident in her own redemption, she is happy to help Charlie in her endeavors. She admires Charlie's positivity and optimism, something she wishes she could have.

- Vaggie: Though Jack's first impression on Vaggie wasn't the best, the two have grown to be at least, acquaintances, as neither has the desire to kill the other and are capable of enjoying each other's company.

- Angel Dust: Jack bonded with Angel Dust over a mutual love for small animals, though this was a secret Jack kept hidden deep inside.

- Husk & Niffty: Jack greatly enjoys their company. She'll talk with Husk while sipping a lightly alcoholic drink and she'll let Niffty climb all over her.

- Sir Pentious: While she wasn't particularly close to Sir Pentious, she did take his death difficultly, as she did still consider him a friend.


Jack's own contracts, Magny and Zen, will also interact with everyone. Magny and Niffty enjoy scuttling around the hotel after each other with Magny assisting Niffty in cleaning. Zen assists Husk at the bar.

Trivia:

- Jack has some issues with touch, but is not completely touch averse. She will allow touch when she has full warning beforehand, but does not like being touched without being made aware first.

- Jack is bilingual, able to speak English fluently as well as Japanese as her family was Japanese-American. She learned Japanese from the only older sibling who cared about her.

- Jack is not a fan of hard alcoholic drinks, preferring to drink mildly alcoholic ones instead when she chooses to drink.

- Jack was taught to call her grandmother, "Baa-chan" in Japanese. Her grandmother was the only family member who meant anything to Jack.

- While Jack doesn't have the same rivalry with Vox that Alastor does, she still takes pleasure in messing with him when she gets the chance.

- She never takes off her long sleeve button down in front of anyone as she has scars from self inflicted wounds all over both arms.

- She is primarily left handed.

- Jack's assistants/friends, Zen and Magny, are both younger then her and more modern. Zen died in 2002 while Magny died in 2018. They help keep Jack more current with the times.
