History: Dani grew up for the first eight years of her life in Kyoto, Japan, speaking Japanese primarily. When her family moved to Manchester, England, she started learning English, which she learned very quickly.
Though she is fluent in English, she still slips back into her native Japanese every now and then.
When her parents were murdered, Dani was kidnapped and taken to Gotham City, where she was eventually rescued by Batman. She was eventually adopted by Bruce Wayne and became Sparrow after she discovered he was Batman.
