"Disappeared in the crowd."

JANELLE'S POV

I wake up with the sound of my phone.
"Ding."
I grab my phone and it was a text message from Steven.

hey babe. ready for ur first day at school?

yah but im scared.

why u scared honey bunny? i got chu babe. <3

alright :) mind showing me to the office later to get my schedule?

of course sugar.

I turned off my phone and wondered what I was going to wear. I walked to my closet and grabbed my ripped jeans, white converse, socks, panty, bra, and my shirt that says "Troubles 99." I then grabbed my phone and walked to the bathroom.
I placed down my clothes and brushed my teeth. I stripped my clothes and went into the shower. The hot water racing down my body.
After I was done, I put on my clothes and went downstairs to eat. I checked the clock and it was currently 7:15.
I grabbed a bowl,a spoon and Coco Puffs. I opened the refrigerator and grabbed the milk.
My mother walked downstairs, yawning. I looked at her and she was a mess! She was still in her robe.
Yawning, her arms rise and then fall down. She rubs her eyes.

She yawns, "Good morning honey."
"Morning mom,"
"Hey uh where's Michael?"
"He just left to school honey."
"That's early."
"Yes i know."

I pour my milk into my bowl and pour the Coco Puffs in. I start to spoon in the delicious chocolate balls.

My mother grabs a cup and makes coffee. Starbucks coffee.

I then look at the clock and it is already 7:25.
I rush and run upstairs to grab my board and my backpack. I sling my backpack over my shoulders. I race down the stairs and call out, "Mom I'm leaving!"
"Have a nice day Hun!"
"You too!!" I grin widely.
I run out the door, slamming the door hard. Sorry door hehe.
I run down the steps and had nearly tripped. I chuckled and placed down my board, placed one foot and put my other foot on the ground, leaving it to push my weight up.
After 10 minutes, I finally arrived at Compton High. The school looked nice, but lots of trash.
A familiar voice had called out,
"Hey Jany!" I turned around to see a grinning and blushing Steven.
I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks.
"H-hey honey bunny." I stuttered.
"Look baby girl, I know your scared but don't worry. I'm here."
I grinned widely and he blushed. He hugged me tight and his scent was heaven. I love this. I mean, I could get use to this everyday.
"Steven!!" A girl walked up to us, leaving her 2 other friends.
Steven turned around and groaned. She was halfway near us.
"Hold on babygirl." He whispered in my ear.
As I looked, I saw a probably 4'9 girl with black high waisted shorts,black crop top, showing her big stomach which was literally popping out and disgusting.

She had a smirk on her face and I could already tell that she wanted to start shit. She walked up to Steven and hugged him. I got a bit jealous. I didn't wanna interrupt them so I just stood there like an idiot. Okay fine I got really jealous. Steven tried to pull away but she held her grip onto him. She then backed her head and smashed her lips into his. Now that, was something I didn't want to interrupt. I gasped and felt my stomach knot and my heart break into tiny bits of pieces. I really like him, and thought that he liked me.

But all along, he was playing me. I turned around and started to walk away. Away from them. I couldn't believe it.

STEVENS POV

I shoved her out of the way and yelled.
"What the hell Abigail?!" My anger started to boil up.
She just smirked and looked at the lonely girl. Walking away.

I turned to where she was looking and there I saw it. Janelle running away. I had to chase after her, but then Abby pulled me to the side with force and said,
"Don't even try." She said angrily.
I let go of her tight grasp and tried to follow Janelle. And there she was. Gone. Disappeared into the crowd.
