*a/n; so i have noticed that michael and the mom  isn't really heard in the story. it's like they never ever existed lol but the main character in this story is janelle and ill try to have little parts of Michael in the chapters.

JANELLES POV

"You got a text dummy"
Her phone said.

I looked at Carmen and she was looking at her phone. She kept her eyes on the screen and typed away a message. She smiled and then kept typing. Maybe it was that guy Cameron from the nail salon.

She looked up and said, "Hurry up! We gotta go!" She seemed eager and grabbed my arm, my yogurt spilling a bit, but I held onto it for dear life.

"Come on let's go! You're so slow!"  She said, running while pulling my arm.

"Why do we need to go already?!"

"Because! Just come!"

I quickly grab 10$ from my pocket and place it on the counter of the cashier.

Before I knew it, we were in the car in a flash. I looked at my phone and it was 4:30 pm. I sighed, not knowing we were going, and finished my yogurt.

After I was done, I placed it on the floor and slowly fell asleep.

The sound of the door opening, awoke me. I grabbed my phone and turned it on. It was almost 7:00 pm. I looked up to see a grinning Steven. I jumped on him and hugged him.

"I missed you! Carmen and I had a girl's day out."

He laughed, "I missed you too and I know."

Confused, I gave him a weird look because I didn't   tell him about it. I just told him that I was going out with Carmen. I shrugged it off.

"Happy Valentine's Day!"

"You too babe!" He grins and takes out roses from his back and hands then to me. "For you my hot mami."

"Aweee. I love you too much." I grab them and hug him.

"Aweeeeee goals!" I spin around to see Carmen. I forgot she was there.

I grin ear to ear.

"Well have fun lovebirds! That hot guy we saw at the salon just texted me and said to meet him at Panera Bread!" She squeals happily.

I grin and hug her. "Okay have fun. I'll text you later! I love you."

"Love you too!" She grins and enters her car and drives off.

"I hope you will like your present," I say, reaching into my purse and taking out the present. But I was then stopped by his hand.

"No no. Later. I have my present for you and it's waiting for you." He smiles and pushes the hair out of my face.

"Okay. Where is it?"

"Just wait..." He said. I watched him as he reached into his pocket to get a beautiful colored bandana.

"What's th-" I was cut off by a peck on the lips.
