Whatever people told you about Nevermore wasn't all that true....

The people were not evil or untamed, but chronicly misunderstood. You went to another school before you transfered to Nevermore, to sum it all up it was hell on earth ( if there even is such a thing).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walking the halls was stressful for you, all the fear building up from what your parents had told you about the 'normies'. What was their standard of normal? Why were you not in that bubble? When would your parents tell you to pack for another school? You had moved around a lot. Your dad had told you it was because he had a big job that needed them to move around so much, but you didn't believe that in the slightest, everywhere you moved to someone had apparently done something and you had to move again.

"Will y/n y/l/n come to the front office please" the loud speaker ripped you from your questionable thoughts as a gaggle of students had started ooing at you. "Go fuck yourselves" you said under your breath as you walked past the smirking groups. The front office was never ideal for you, you were watched. Records from your previous schools all identified some type of 'disorder' when they pull up the files no name comes up for anything just 'troubled child'.

Walking through the doors to the eye wateringly clean office you saw the surprisingly nice receptionist. "The principle is just through there sweetheart" she smiled. " Thank you" you smiled back (come on don't be rude now) passing her as you walked towards the door inbetween what now seemed like another unexplainable expulsion.

"Miss y/l//n take a seat, would you care to explain why one of the 9th grade students ended up hanging by his underwear by the school gates" the man stared at you, his accusing look feeding your nerves like a child around sugar. "Perhaps expulsion should set this straight, the boy's parents are undeniably upset!" His mouth was as straight as a line when he looked at you, any sign you would snap...... There was none.

"Remove yourself from my school before security have to remove you themselves." He said, the anger in his face was as noticable as when you broke your mothers favourite vase when you were 9. "Please sir I didn't do it, you have to believe me" you were begging. Pathetic. That's what you saw out of this situation it was your 10th school in your school career, soon your parents may choose to homeschool you, you didn't want that.

"Get out of my school, you insolent child" he was seeming to get louder his voice raised at you. Turning around and opening the door you found the receptionist looking at you with pity in her eyes " I'm terribly sorry dear, you don't deserve this, best of luck in your next school."

*Time skip ( brought to by a very tired teenager)

You opened the front door, awaiting the fate bestowed upon you by the school system. your parents anger. Looking at you from the kitchen table was your mother and father. They both looked happy? That couldn't be right. Could it? Surely this was some sick game they were playing to get you comfortable before shipping the lot of you to somewhere across the state, or even country?

"Relax child, we aren't mad nor disappointed. We needed an excuse to send you to a place anyway, you need to know what we are. What you are." Your father had always spoke in riddles, never making sense to anyone not even your mother, and she married him. "What we are?" You questioned that first, where they were sending you to was the least of your worries. " Hiding this from you was important, for you to have a chance at a normal childhood, now we see that was a mistake, y/n, sweetheart we are sirens." Your mother was always the one to comfort you as a child, your father stared at you awaiting your reaction. Your face morphed into a confused smile, "so was that boy hanging from the school gates my fault?" You had to ask, things like this always happened they had been since you turned 4. " No it wasn't none of them are your fault, these people find something strange about our family and to get rid of you they do things so vile and imaginative that the people in power have no choice but to get rid of us." Your father spoke up, his body shifting in his seat, he looked uncomfortable. Too uncomfortable.

"Where are you sending me"

Your mother looked in the direction of your father, as if for confirmation. He nods slyly smiling at your mother before speaking." Nevermore, a boarding school for outcasts like us" his voice was light but simply scary, he had never been this happy, never happy to send his child to school after school, the fights with your mother about your education now seemed to halt. His eyes were lighter as if a weight was lifted off of them.

" A boarding school.... You want to send me to boarding school" your voice laced with betrayal, shakey and uneven. " We aren't trying to get rid of you love we are simply trying to protect you from what is out here. The normal people." Your mothers tone was endearing and comforting but something about this didn't seem right, nothing ever did.

*Time skip brought to you by Kent walking into a door*

All three of you and your parents were driving through the gates, you slumped in the back seat trying to hide from what seemed to be some horrible nightmare. The car came to a stop, some students were looking from the entrance over to the car, blue striped uniforms, how fitting.

Opening the door you stepped out, your luggage carried by your parents up to the headmistress's office. " Hello you must be y/n I have heard so much about you from your parents, it is lovely to see you in person. Now now enough idle chit chat your dorm is the lady  siren hall.... follow me.
