Brooke's pov
Ok well it's safe that the dinner went well considering there was a group of over 35 pre adolescents, or teenaged as kids like to call them, in a inclosed place. You know one would have thought that they would pull out a food fight or make some super serum with the scrapes but no. They were quite as mice on Christmas night. But I already know why. There gonna crash my end of the year party, of course. My parent s are out for the night which means we can do whatever we want to do back at them.
I drive myself back home after I drop off most the team at one of players homes. I'm so freaking nervous for no reason. Like I've know these girls for years know, well most of them know mean some came here this year to play, but that's not the point. I anxious because what if I do something or say the wrong thing, you know and I just doesn't sit right with them and they decide to no longer be my friend? Like i know that that's probably not going to happened but that's just in the back of my head you know. I'm pulling up and so is Tera in her black car. Her parents are like crazy rich so you think that would make her, well you know but she's actually the kindest thing ever.
"Omg! Brooke it feels like I haven't seen you in like I don't know, Forever!" She engulfs me into a hug before I'm even half way out of my car.
"Omg it's so good to see, will you help me bring some stuff I bought if couple 'supplies' for tonight."
"Oooh what does miss. Padlock have planned?"
"Well I know a special group of boys are supposed to stop by tonight for an unwanted visit so we'll just give the a nice warm welcome." I throw over the couple cans of glitter and I carry in all the silly string and water ballon's that have yet to be filled up.
"Ooh can I ask what type of special boys you're talking about, because I know your cousins have connections with the baseball team and those are some boys I'd like to meet."
"No. Ehh there not even that could looking. And saying anyone off of the party crashers are, but the Pats are. They thinks it's a good idea to come over."
"Wait so like Cole is going to be there. Because I get by with that." I star at her with a face of disgust. Like ok he's not bad looking but like really that my team. "Come on you have to admit it, you think so too, you have that look in eye."
She nudges my shoulder as I try to unlock my front door."What do you mean look, I so do not have the hots for Cole, that's messed up Tera." I drop everything and throw my hair into a messy bun, while putting away the dishes that were left out for dry. "But I'll have to agree with you here he cut but not my type." I tell her.
"Not your type eh, so who is, like Rylie or maybe Connor I see the way he looks at you." I raise my eyebrow and role my eyes this girl. I finish putting away the dish and walk out into the living room to see Tera on her phone scrolling through TikTok. I go outside to fish setting up. I place a couple of cans around silly strings and pales of water ballon's hidden underneath the trampolines and in the tents.
"Hey Brooke most of the girls arrived there all inside, curious if we can come out?" I nod and the all came out into yard.
We ended up watch some Barbie and marvel movies, quit the mix I say. We've all eaten a tone of food and a whole lot of un need junk food. Everyone is enjoying there time, I think, I hope, we're all talking over the movie and playing board games.
Another short one kinda a filler. I really don't like enjoy this book and want to make a new one, a better one. Hope y'all enjoyed!
