17- The After Mat

Brookes pov:

The drive home was peaceful, with Taylor swift in the background and Tanners snores.

We dropped Tanner off and head to drop me off back home so my grandfather do the same at his house. I got home around seven thirty. I went in and took my shower washing my hair and putting on a some clothes, a jeans and a white body suit with some of my jewelry. The pearl necklace Connor bought me and blue pearl earrings I bought to match it. After I blown dryer my hair I put it up in a half up half down high two tiny braids in it, one on each side. I start to tied up the family room when I hear a knock on the door. I already know who it is so I walk over. I open the door to see a man with his back turned to me.

"Hello." I call out to the man.

"Hey Brooke.." That man I mean boy on my doorstep is Logan, that little asshole. "How have you been it's been a couple of days. I went to go see your game tonight I think you played very well."

"Yeah I'm good, forgot we even gave you ticked, but why are you even here?" I step out side shutting my door with my back to it.

"Well I for one wanted to thank you for my family , for the tickets. And too I wanted to say how badly I acted. I'm sorry. And I was wondering if you would like to go out again, I swear I've changed for the better." That's it. I'm speechless, I find it kinda funny actually so much I think might laugh.

"Haha. That's funny,  um look Logan I have absolutely no desire to see you again, like I've know you what a day, known of you for a week or two at best. Short story even shorter I don't know you and I hope I don't get to. So your welcome for the tickets but please leave. Have way more important thing ti do the talk yo you." I turn around and walk back inside and lock the door, I chose to finish up whatever I was doing before cleaning and a little bit more of cleaning. I hear his truck pull out of the driveway and I go back to the door to unlock it because the team should be arriving.

It's not even 5 minute later and all I can hear is this thumping coming in from outside. So I have a very good feeling that there here. There coming in like a freaking herd of baboons.

"Brooke there's our girl!" Tanner comes in running towards me.

"Get back you dirty pig, I don't want your dirty shoes tracking through my house, I just cleaned up!"

"Holy hell there mama don't need you name calling me." I snap fingers and point to his shoes, then cross my arms. He removes his shoes and kicks them in the floor. Everyone else has already done so and sat down in the couches or chairs.

"Neatly, Tanner." He does as told. Now running over to me like a mad man.

"Conner, Cole and Riley said they be here in five." He swings his arm around me and walks me over to he couches with Luke, Oman and Stanislav are. Across from us is Carter in a chair, and Kelton in another one to my left. "So what board game do we want to start of with first and two we're are we sleeping tonight, because as much as I live you boys no way in hell am I sleeping with all of you on two couches."

"Yeah Brooke were are we all sleeping." Luke asks.

"The heck you mean sleep over. I'm not housings all your sorry asses. I have plans with friends!" The front door opens and in pops some more of my team.

"Can we come too." Riley asks.

"No way, I'm not having you flirt with all my friends! We're have a end of the year party at my house after supper and we're sleeping in the back yard, watching movies and eating snacks." I walk over to my back door and flick on the lights reviling the set up.

"But Brooooke! Plus I'm sure they would love to have our warm bodies to curl up against!" Tanner says curling into Connor's lap. Man that poor kid can never get a break.

"Okay okay can you please not sexually harasse Connor on my chair please and thank you. I so don't need to see that." I fake gaged. And walked back over to sit down on my couch. "So now that we're all here who's up for a game a monopoly!" I reach down and pull out the board game.

"Hell yeah I am!" Screams Riley.

"I'm going to beat all your sorry assess." Luke tells us.

"I wouldn't be to sure about the Luke, Brooke plays monopoly more times in a month then I will my entire life." Connor said coming to sit down beside me on the floor. "With that being said Brookie my little cookie, let me be your partner." He bats his eyelashes at me so how can I possibly say no to that, plus if I turned him down it would be pretty rude.

"Yeah! And well freaking win too." I high five him and grab our favourite token the dog. Me and Connor start setting out the money for each person will Luke and Stanislav sorte the deed cards, Riley and Cole find the dice and the others pours us all drinks, non alcohol of course.

What it feels like that we've been playing for hours but in reality it's has only been like an hour. Right know my and Connor are winning like we said and Luke and Stanislav are getting pretty heated at each other right now. I'm rolling the dice and kiss my hands surrounding it for good luck when freaking Luke flippes the board malien am and the rest of the team burst out laughing. I mean how can we not.

"Fuck you, Fuck you and most especially you Brooke fuck you, clearly cheated, unbelievable." He curses us off.

"I- what?" I stammer, when he begins laughing like non of that just happened.

After a good couple minutes of nothing but our laughter we start cleaning up the mess because we should start getting ready to head out. Luke gets monopoly duty along with Cole while the rest of them clean the living room and me and Connor wash the cups and plates used.

"So your having friends over after?" He asks.

"Yeah it our end of the year get together type thing. I normal host it as my dads the coach."

"Cool." I hand him an old pink glass to dry off and set on the rack after I wash it. "You didn't here this from me but when you want to the bathroom, they mad e a plan to crash your slumber party fair warning." He drys the last dish and sets it down facing me. "Brooke, I wanted to say that-"

"Hey you too slow pokes let's go don't got all night!" One of the boys yell out form the living room.

"One minute!" I yell back. "Yeah what's up?"

"I... I... I didn't know if you saw who was at our game tonight?"

"Logan? I know I totally forgot we have his family tickets until he stopped by many five minutes Tanner and then got here, wanted a second chance told him screw off."

"He came by?"

"Yeah don't worry nothing happened. Didn't even let him in the house." I walk away and throw the dish rages in the laundry chute and walk back over to Connor.

"Are you good did anything happen?"

"No just said thanks for the tickets, and asked for a second change said he and I quote 'I've changed for the better' I said I don't even know and I'm sum glad I don't do leave. Don't worry Connie nothing happened." I say and grab his hands and pull him down a little to kiss his forehead. "Now seriously let's go we have a team dinner to go to."

Oh a little kissey! Still hate Logan, as one should. Thus is un edited and done at night so🤷‍♀️
