Back in Katsuki's dorm he didn't know what to do. He just fucking blew it, the chance to have a normal conversation with Izuku. Didn't help that Izuku just wouldn't listen either, the chance to figure out why the fuck they can't even make eye contact without him running is back at square one. What if he can't fix it now he said all that? Does he apologize a second time? Katsuki isn't the strongest type to think about others feelings, which is why this is such a hard thing for him to comprehend.
Shit this stressful can only really be cleared by doing something, so katsuki decided on a run. He waiting until everything out in the hall was clear before leaving. After making that big scene he deosn't really need people around him right now. Walking down the stairs he was thinking about it, the main thing confusing him was how this fight was so much more different than the ones they've had previously? Was it because of all the tension in the air? What is because he felt more comfortable to ague back, which was one of the only times he's done so? He also wanted to know why, why now out of all times did he fight back? What was so significant about Katsuki checking on him? What made it so important... was it the apology?
In Izuku's room all he could do was sit on his bed and think, think about what the fuck just happened. How did it go from him blushing up at Katsuki's to almost screaming at him in the hall for everyone to hear? Is this what Katsuki feels with his explosive behavior? Why did Izuku blow up in the fist place? Better yet, what does he do now? The tension between the two was enough even before all this, how is he going to do schooling and training now? Does Kacchan hate his guts? Thinking about how they fought like that, in front of his friends made his stomach turn. He sighed easily and fell back on his bed. Staring at the ceiling, still trying to comprehend what fully happened and why, he'll rot in bed if he really wanted the answers though, and he knew that. The guilt of blowing up on him, especially in front of friends like that hurt his stomach even more. Blowing up on him like that was more than enough, and now he's roping other people into it as well.
Izuku already didn't like fishing, and he really didn't like fighting in front of other people. Growing up being bullied really made him hate yelling and shouting, which is why he can't wrap his head around how he got that loud, especially to Katsuki. The very person who made him desensitized but also afraid of yelling and bullying. The same person that he now can't understand why he has such an attachment to, the jealousy that he gets when anyone other than him acts freindly, but also how he stared into his eyes for as long as he did. The eyes that used to look at him with disgust, making him feel small where now making him blush. Why. What the fuck? Why does he have these feelings and why are they popping up like this out of the blue. The one thing that Izuku knew was that if this keeps up, his school and training are going to start to deteriorate. Which isn't an option for him.
Katsuki was running around campus, the run was supposed to clear his head, but all he could think about what happened. It pissed him off how he left himself go, how Izuku just wouldn't answer his simple question. The way they both handled the argument definitely could have gone better, and now that other people are roped into it, it's making it harder for Katsuki to get his answer. One detail handing heavy was how Izuku looked. He still had dark circles around his eyes, and while he was yelling they barely moved. They didn't show emotion as much as they usually did. Katsuki weirdly has always payed attention to Izuku's eyes. If you watched hard enough you could always tell how he felt just by his eyes, but this was different. He just didn't have any emotion behind anything other than his voice, and even that was lacking some emotion.
Katsuki didn't realize how long he'd been running until he snapped out of dream land. The sky was now a dark blue and curfew was in little than an hour. He looked down at his phone, there was a single notification, and it was from fucking Mina. Katsuki's brows furrowed.
"What the fuck does she want." he thought.
He opened the text and read,
"Wtf happened? I thought you said you were going to talk to him?" - Mina.
Katsuki huffed, he shoved his phone in his pocket and started running back to dorms. When he finally made it back there was 15 minutes until they were supposed to be in their rooms. Walking in he took his shoes off and pulled his headphones out. If it weren't for her tapping on the counter top Katsuki wouldn't have noticed Mina standing in the kitchen, obviously waiting for him to get home.
He looked up, making eye contact. He didn't say anything until his headphones were in his pocket.
"What the fuck do you want?" He asked, hostility.
"I just wanna talk, I tried texting you." She replied.
"I don't wanna talk about it, you were there weren't you?" Katsuki said.
"I mean for the last part, I just wanna know what happened to make it to where you scream at each other you now?" Mina added.
"That's none of your business. Fuck off." Katsuki said.
Mina could tell that Katsuki reallllllly didn't wanna talk about it, but she really didn't care. Which was a problem.
"Listen I just want to know, I've haven't seen Midoriya that mad since he fought Shigiraki."
Katsuki's head shot up.
"Bull fucking shit, there's no way you're comparing that right now."
"Don't fucking make me feel like shit because I'm asking you a question." She said, leaning in on the counter.
"You're asking me a question I don't know the answer to fuck face." Katsuki said, stomping over to the refrigerator.
"There's no way you don't know why you two were having a whole fight in the middle of the hall."
"I don't. That's your fucking answer." Katsuki said, with a dirty look.
Before Mina could ask anything else Katsuki left the kitchen quickly. Clearly just avoiding the question. She just watched as he turned the corner. She sat there for a bit before grabbing a snack then making her way to her room.
Katsuki was already pissed off, and Mina interrogating him didn't help. He stomped up the stairs and into his room. He threw his phone and headphones on his bed and he grabbed some cloths to wear after his shower. Curfew was in about 10 minutes. He made his way down into the bathing area and quickly hopped in the shower. While showering the question was repeating in his head. "Wtf happend?"
After his shower he made his way into is dorm room, sitting on his bed. he usually sleeps pretty early and now he's staying up until curfew. Weirdly enough he couldn't sleep. This was also pissing him off, but what doesn't? Eventually he just gave up and started to scroll on his phone. The idea of texting Izuku popped into his head, but how would he even start it? What would he even say? "sorry for trying to ask you a simple question that you couldn't answer." He bit his lip, thinking about it. He opened the DM. He started typing, but he couldn't come up with anything longer than a "I'm sorry." Which wasn't bad, but it isn't what he needed to do, texting him was a pussy move anyways. After a bit of thinking he typed the words, "Listen, i'm sorry for blowing up like that. I just want you to answer my one question." Starring at it for a bit he sent the send button. Katsuki looked at the time and he was supposed to be asleep 2 hours ago. Shit. He dropped his phone on his chest, second guessing everything. He picked it back up and deleted the message, then plugged his phone in and went to sleep.
