Today was a special day for the hero class of 1-A, as today they were doing battle trials in hero and villain teams. Everyone was very excited to be able to use their quirks in a battle, especially Kirishima. He wanted to show Bakugo, who seemed to be the strongest in class, that he was strong too with his quirk. The boy had recently dyed his hair permanently red to show his growth to become like his hero Crimson Riot and his strength.

At the moment, All Might, wearing his retro outfit, was sorting the teams but there was a small problem. Since they had done the quirk apprehension test a week ago in class, their class had gone from 20 students to only 19, as Mineta was expelled from U.A. because of his attempts to touch female classmates without their consent. All the girls were very thankful of the sight of Mineta not returning for school since then, and felt more safe at school with him gone.

"Well, since there is an odd amount of you, one of you will have to participate in two games instead of one. Now, who is willing to volunteer to run twice?" All Might asked the class, scanning around for any hands.

"That wouldn't be necessary, All Might," Aizawa butted in just as Bakugo was about to volunteer, making the ash-blond teen scoff in annoyance as he put down his hand. "I'm sure you wish to participate in this activity, don't you, Zangetsu?"

Said teen chuckled at the underground hero's question, "Oh, I sure would love to fight these guys, gotta show them who's stronger, after all."

The class was shocked with the albino's words. Who did he think he was, badging into their exercise and calling them weak! Bakugo's blood boiled from Zangetsu's words and his hands clenched into fists. He was supposed to be the strongest! He is All Might's successor, not some random kid who looks like he never steps outside and has weird swords on his back!

All Might got curious about who the boy behind Aizawa was, as he had never seen him around U.A. or in any of the classes in the school. "Who's this young man, Eraser Head? Is he a first year student like the rest of your class? He certainly has quite the confidence, if I do say so myself."

"No, he isn't a first year student, or a student at all. This is Zangetsu, he is here because he chooses to be here. He also is highly praised by Nezu and the Big Three for his strength," Aizawa informs All Might a little about the albino.

All Might, trying to be respectful, tries to go up and shake his hand, but gets met with no other hand to shake. He tries to look to see if the boy is being shy, but it's the complete opposite. Zangetsu is giving him a look of absolute death and hatred, which shocked the hero, as he didn't meet this kid until this very moment.

"Anyway," the blond hero brought the conversation back to the situation at hand. "I would be glad to have Zangetsu participate in our exercise, as long as he is okay with it of course! I wouldn't want to force him!"

The class all turned to Zangetsu, who had a smirk on his face. Most of them thought he was just another Bakugo, but worse, besides Kirishima. The redhead was impressed with how confident the albino was, as he wasn't the most muscular seeing from the small amount of his arms exposed from his robes, and that he was a swordsman. Most people now would use a quirk more than traditional weapons like guns and swords, so seeing that Zangetsu had two blades made Kirishima respect him even more.

All Might then rerolled the teams after adding the albino to the roster and Aizawa's departure. Most of the class was nervous to be put on a team with Zangetsu or even be paired against him, his aura radiating the promise of blood and death. The device then showed all the teams, showing Zangetsu was on team J with Kirishima, which excited him on the inside. He gets to learn about someone who is praised by a group called the Big Three and the principal himself, so surely he got lucky with the roll, right?

The teams all got together to make sure they knew who their partner was. Bakugo scoffed as he saw on the device's screen that he was paired with Uraraka and reluctantly marched over to her. It's better than being with the albino freak, he thought to himself as All Might drew two cards for who would be the hero team and villain team for the first game.

"Team A is the hero team and team J is the villain team for the first game!" The number one hero announced to all the students with a large smile on his face.

Bakugo's grumpy face instantly turned into one of joy as he heard those words. I get to show that freak that I'm the strongest of U.A.!, he thought as both Zangetsu and Kirishima went into the building where the exercise would be taking place.

Suddenly, All Might's phone started to ring, so he answered it. Through the phone, Aizawa said, "I forgot to warn you, Zangetsu is quite... how do I say it? He is quite ruthless when in battle, so be wary. I'd rather not have to drag someone to Recovery Girl's office today for the third time." The phone then beeped, signaling the underground hero had hung up.

Well, let's hope that call wasn't anything important, Zangetsu wouldn't hurt someone that badly, right? Those were All Might's initial thoughts as he started the first round of the exercise, watching through the cameras with the rest of the class.

As soon as the battle started, Bakugo used his explosions to blast his way around the building to find Zangetsu, not caring about the actual objective of the side he was on. He and his teammate, Ida, were supposed to be capturing Kirishima and Zangetsu and touching the fake bomb they had to win. But he didn't care, his ego was butthurt from the albino teen's words about how in his eyes, they were weak. How could he decide that anyway? He doesn't know anything about him and he just calls him weak!?

"Bakugo! What are you-!" Ida shouts at his teammate, but the blond was already far away and his words wouldn't reach the other's ears. "Nevermind then. I'll just try and find the fake bomb myself if Bakugo is going to be his hotheaded self."

『(╹◡╹)』

The sound of explosions slowly creeping closer and louder made Zangetsu smirk. just from looking at the ash blond, he could tell he was a hot head. His hair just gave it away, as it was most likely where his anger was stored from how ratty it was, but rats are more groomed than he looked.

Bakugo's yelling in anger also gets louder as his explosions suddenly blast him to Zangetsu, who only extends out a hand to swat him away like a bug. The slap caused the ash blond's body to crash into one of the cement walls, causing it to break and the rubble to land on top of him, but was blasted away by his explosions.

"Is that all you got, freak?" Bakugo shouted at Zangetsu, the left side of his head has a trail of blood from crashing into the wall. "I thought you were strong, seeing as how you called me weak!"

Zangetsu's grin gets wider, "That certainly isn't all I got, but I don't want to waste my time on someone weak like you. I'd rather waste my time on someone who could give me a challenge."

The albino points a finger at Bakugo, confusing him as a red ball starts to form and grow near the tip of the former's finger. Bakugo's breathing started to get heavier as the pressure around him got heavier as well, making him get onto one knee from its force. The red ball of energy got larger and more potent as the air pressure got even more heavy, but was immediately dispersed when All Might announced through the intercoms that the villain team had won somehow.

"What!? How did they win? I'm not detained, so why did they win!?" Bakugo yelled at one of the cameras inside the building, waiting for an answer, which was surprisingly given to him by Aizawa.

"Because if Zangetsu finished that move, we would at minimum have to pay for damages and life insurance, and I certainly don't want to deal with that and neither does Nezu."

The ash blond scoffed and stood up, storming away from Zangetsu, who now looked almost disappointed, but he brushed it off. He was going to get a proper fight with him anyway, surely in the annual sports festival that was held, but all he needed to do was wait for it. Bakugo would just have to be a little more patient to bring the albino down a peg or two while humiliating him in front of live tv. Thinking about his plan, Bakugo's scowl turning into a proud smile as he joined the rest of class 1-A to watch the next round of the battle trials begin.
