EVELYNS POV

i watch as the multiple lines become a single moving one. tears fall silently as i stare at the counting seconds.
i relapsed.
so here i am resetting my streak on the i am sober app.

everything got better when a blonde girl came into my life 2 months ago but its coming back. inevitably. and much worse than before. except its harder to hide now as i have a girlfriend to sheild from my suffering. reneè is the most perfect, beautiful, angel to walk the planet and she shouldn't be burdened with my lack of stability.

i place small bandages on my wrist before covering them with my watch and a bracelet. a magnetic bracelet both me and reneè have. i cant have her knowing about this so the sliver of wrist i can cover is my only canvas.

i pull the sleeves of my hoodie (nae's hoodie) down before getting up and checking the room around me. the blade is back in my phone case, and there's no blood anywhere. i walk out.

RENEÈS POV

im about to call her name when the brunette reappears from down the hall. "hey baby, dinners ready." i say softly, pulling her in by her beltloops for a kiss. "thank you my love." she responds with a smile, however i notice how it doesn't quite reach her eyes.

somethings going on but i dont know how to get her to open up. i know her past as ive kissed her scars and held her as she ate. i really hope its not coming back. i will try my hardest to help her fight it all off.

"you doing okay evy?" even if she refrains from openeing up, i hope this will let her know that im here to listen. "yeah, just tired from work." evelyn works for me as my merch designer but she also works for billie eilish and occasionally some smaller indie bands. there's a big new collection for billie coming up aswell the final pieces for the snow hard feelings tour collection which has been stressing her out.

"i know there's a lot going on right now so i just want to remind you that im always here hm, and im also one of you bosses so i can lower your work load if needed okay baby." she deserves everything my evelyn so im making sure she knows that.

EVELYNS POV

i just stare at the floor as she says this. she must know. does she know? is this her trying to get me to confess and then will she roll her eyes and break up with me because im too much work.
