"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩?"
Bella shook herself from her faraway stupor, her pupils finally focusing on her reflection in the mirror. "Sorry, bad dream." Alice clicked her tongue sympathetically. She was applying Bella's makeup while Emma helped organize the men in another room. "It was wedding jitters."
The sound of heels clicking in the hallway drew their attention, and Rosalie in a dark purple silk robe walked in. Alice donned a similar one in lilac, and Bella in a light grey. While the blonde looked completely put together and stunning, save for her dress, Bella looked a bit of a mess with dark bags under her eyes. Whatever dream she had must have been exhausting.
"Do you need some help? I could do her hair," Rosalie offered kindly as she approached her sister and sister-in-law-to-be.
"Really?" Bella asked, too tired to hide her disbelief that Rosalie was actually being nice to her for once.
Rosalie sent Bella a small smile at her shock and stood behind her to begin brushing and styling her hair. "Please. I'm not offended by your choice of groom."
"Just my blatant lack of respect for mortality," Bella quipped.
"Essentially."
Alice watched the exchange and threw her arm over the stunning blonde. "Weddings. They bring everyone together."
Emma then walked in a moment later as Rosalie was brushing the tangled tresses of Bella's locks. "Good morning, ladies," she greeted excitedly, practically bouncing on her black heels. "Oh, Bella, I just spoke with your father in the hall. He looks very dashing. Ruggedly handsome, if I do say so myself."
"What would our father say if he heard you thirsting over another man as such?" Rosalie asked, raising a humored brow.
"Thirsting? You sound like Emmett," Bella chuckled, making Rosalie shake her head slightly.
"Your father would agree with me, that's what," Emma replied. "You have to see him, Bella. Now, Alice, put me to work. What do you need me to do?"
"Your awfully energetic this morning," Rosalie commented with an amused smile. "And bouncy." She eyed the way she quite literally hopped on her heels over to join them at the vanity.
"It's cute," Bella agreed as Rosalie began to pull and weave her stands. "You're like a bunny. What's gotten into you?"
"Can't I just be excited that it's your wedding day, Bella?" she retorted evasively, huffing and planting her hands on her hips.
