Frustration gnawed at me. Why, out of everyone in Teyvat, did I get dragged into this mess? Here I was, sandwiched between Childe and Lumine, on a mission to face down the ever-threatening Fatui. Not exactly how I pictured spending my days.

I was tired as we traversed Teyvat's treacherous landscapes. The only silver lining? Childe's apparent change of heart. He hadn't followed through with his initial plan to eliminate Lumine. Small victories, I supposed.

But the journey itself had been a disaster montage. Our first near-death experience involved a heart-stopping tumble off a cliff – a big, humongous cliff to be precise. Childe, bless his chaotic tendencies, somehow managed to pull us both back from oblivion. That earned him a hefty dose of gratitude on my part.

Then came the near-drowning incident. Thankfully, Childe and Lumine stumbled upon a convenient teleporter on their map right before I became a watery grave. Need I list the countless scrapes, near-misses with hilichurl hordes, and questionable weather patterns we'd endured?

Did I even need to point out the pattern? It was clear as day – Childe became my unlikely savior at every turn. Now, was it pure altruism? Probably not. More likely, he needed me for something. A human shield? A voice of reason to counterbalance his own battle-lust? Who knew? Regardless, being needed, however begrudgingly, wasn't the worst feeling.

Apparently, my "skillset" included keeping both Lumine and Childe grounded. Unlike a certain pyro-wielding knight who charged headfirst into every fight (Bennett, I'm looking at you!), I possessed a healthy dose of self-preservation. Unlike the ever-loyal Noelle, I wouldn't hesitate to cut my losses and run if things got too hairy. And let's not forget Xiangling, whose dedication to finding ingredients sometimes bordered on... obsessive, leading to frequent and inconvenient snack breaks.

Hey, at least I was self-aware, right? No hidden agendas, no secret crushes (not on Xiangling, please believe me!). This whole Fatui fiasco was a whirlwind, and honestly, a little terrifying. But maybe, just maybe, it was also the start of something... unexpected. As we finally arrived at the teleporter's destination, a shiver of anticipation ran down my spine. What awaited us on the other side? And more importantly, would Childe still be there to catch me if I fell?
