"We're getting closer at least, right?" Kaeya tried to remain optimistic, his voice barely masking the growing tension. He'd been trying to keep spirits high, but the endless journey through the unfamiliar landscape was starting to wear on him.
I shot him a glare. "Don't even start, Kaeya. Just don't—" I trailed off, my breath catching in my throat as we stumbled into a clearing. A strange, pulsating blue portal shimmered in the sky. Looking down, I could see a small area that had collapsed, the remnants of a once-grand structure.
"Oh my god!" I exclaimed, stumbling backward. "Is that a blue flying thing with a... cape thing?"
Lumine rolled her eyes, her usual cheerful demeanor replaced by a hint of exasperation. "No, dummy. Well, yes, but it's actually called a Seelie."
I sighed, my frustration mounting. Lumine pushed past me and touched the Seelie, which immediately drifted down into a cup-like object. "Come on, we have to find the others," she said, her voice filled with a sense of urgency.
We spent what felt like hours tracking down the rest of the group, their whereabouts a mystery in the labyrinthine tunnels. The silence was broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves or the distant echo of our footsteps. As the sun began its descent, casting long, eerie shadows across the landscape, a sense of dread began to creep into my heart.
Finally, we spotted them, and Lumine guided them into the cup-like holders. I breathed a silent breath of relief.
A powerful wind current suddenly swept through the clearing, the portal shimmering more intensely.
"We're finally doing it," I whispered, a mix of excitement and worry in my voice.
"Yep, we are," Lumine said confidently, her voice filled with determination. "Into the abyss we go!" She grabbed her glider and somehow managed to drag me, Kaeya, and Childe up and through the portal before I could say anything. As we soared through the swirling vortex, I couldn't help but wonder what awaited us on the other side.
